BEFORE YOU COMMENT!!
We don't permit non-pedia discussion around here, so in the best interest of on-topic discussion, if you want to tell me something personal, or just plain off-topic, send me a Personal Message (PM) on the Bulbagarden Forums. Alternatively, send me an e-mail at [email protected]. And although I don't suggest trying to actually talk to me there, you can follow my extremely sporadic unactivity on Twitter at @MAGNEDETH.

Also, I am a busy guy. There is a whole staff of people that can answer your question, so you don't have to go straight to me with every single question. Alternatively, you may not need to ask anyone anything thanks to our handy FAQ. If something isn't listed there check the manual of style or even the helpful welcome portal likely listed at the top of your talk page.

Please?

Can I please have the ability to edit my User Page again? Cool469talk 09:30, 17 June 2011 (UTC)

You've made 5 edits to the mainspace since having your privileges revoked. Three of which were reverted, and one which was completely deleted from the record (must've been pretty bad). It's pretty clear you have not earned your userspace privileges back yet. Sorry. More to the point, it's clear you aren't familiar with how to edit our site as you failed to link anything properly. I think your next stop should be the manual of style. -- MAGNEDETH 03:13, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Sprite comparison

Samurai Sam 19:05, 17 June 2011 (UTC)Hey, if you find the time, could you please finish Gen I & II sprite comparison thing you started? (User:MAGNEDETH/Sprite) - Sam

Yea, I'll get around to it at some point. Btw, please sign your comments with four tildes. -- MAGNEDETH 03:13, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Excuse me

I have edited in the mainspace very much lately. If it is not too insistent I also have taken note of the one userspace edit a day rule, and promise I won't make the same violation I had a while back. Could I please have permission to edit my userpage again? Damionic 23:31, 17 June 2011 (UTC)User: Damionic|||User Talk: Damionic 23:21 June 17 2011

You've made 11 edits to the mainspace since having your privileges revoked. Four of which were reverted, two that were very minor, and four of which were just redirects.

Erm...

How do you put pictures in? I want to change the picture on Leaf Storm, since it's "unsatisfactory". YoshisWorld 00:45, 21 June 2011 (UTC)YoshisWorld

Move images have a naming convention. You should replace the existing image here on the Archives rather than simply changing the image name. Remember to read the Archives Manual of Style before you upload anything. Werdnae (talk) 00:52, 21 June 2011 (UTC)

Suggestion for the Wiki

Where would i post a suggestion for the wiki? Would i ask you... or do I go to the forums. If i do ask you, what would you think about a new project: Pokémon pronunciation. After their names on every Pokémon's page, there should be a pronunciation key. I know Nintendo never gave pronunciation keys, but with the anime, we should be able to get the pronunciations. I only say this because I personally hate not knowing how to pronounce a Pokémon's name, and there's a lot I don't know, and I don't wan to go find what anime episode they are in to listen to when a character says there name. To be honest, I'm not really good with forums, so if this is something that should be brought to the attention of the forums, could you help me set it up? Thank you... Toadstool 23:53, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

The issue with pronounciations, it the official handbooks have one, the 3D games usually have a different one, the anime often has a third different one, and in some cases the movies have a fourth. Until we can get consistency across all the different media, it's going to be difficult to implement. Werdnae (talk) 02:44, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
Yea, we tried implementing it from the handbook, but it just created arguments. Myself included. No one really seems to know what the correct one is. -- MAGNEDETH 02:47, 23 June 2011 (UTC)
My Suggestion: Just list all of them! That way, no matter how someone says it, everyone's happy! 〜Pikachu9000 03:13, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Um...

Could we, like, put the GIF Pokémon sprites instead of the normal ones? I know a site or two that has them. ARCEUSVICTINI 19:06, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

We generally use animated .png, they're of a higher quality. -- MAGNEDETH 20:30, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Userpage?

How many edits do new users have to make before they can make their own userspace? Arceuscl405 22:15, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Put your main focus on the mainspace as the number of edits is secret. Just keep making good edits and it'll appear. --CoolPikachu! 22:28, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Just make sure that you don't try to get your userpage edit rights by making numerous minor edits. (That's the lazy man's way of doing it!) 10 minor edits contribute to the mainspace a lot less than 10 major edits. Trust me, I know this. I have a userpage that I just got and I won't edit until the userpage restriction is lifted from 1 edit per day to 3 edits per day. That way, I can complete it a lot faster than if I started now. 〜Pikachu9000 02:06, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Hmm...

There was a sentence in the Kecleon Shop article that read, "Best plan if thinking about theft is too know where the stairs are." I edited this out, because not only is it opinion, the grammar and spelling don't meet the expectations of Bulbapedia. Is this bad enough for me to get someone to message the person who put that there? EvilKirikizan 13:32, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

That is indeed quite bad and unacceptable. However, it isn't recommended to warn people of errors so far after they've happened. Seems that person hasn't edited in a few days anyway. If that person comes back, or indeed you see anyone make such a large grammatical error, it is advised to revert and warn them. You can do it yourself (it's a fairly basic site-wide rule so it isn't really necessary to get an admin), but if you don't feel comfortable, you can contact any active staff member. -- MAGNEDETH 15:57, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Userpage Edit Limit

Sorry to bother you. I know you're busy, but do you know when the userpage edit limit will be raised from one edit per day back to three edits per day? I'm wondering when this may occur because I just got my userpage earlier today and I'm not going to edit it (or my talk page) until the limit is raised. I'm doing this so that I can complete my userpage faster than right now. Have a nice day! 〜Pikachu9000 02:11, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

As of now, no. But if you abuse the preview button, you can make a whole page in one edit. So give that a try. -- MAGNEDETH 03:40, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
Okay. Thanks for the tip! Keep me informed of any info about the userpage limit! 〜Pikachu9000 22:17, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
As soon as a change is made, it will be reflected via a Message from the Editor, or the site header. -- MAGNEDETH 03:55, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Okay. By the way, would using the strategy for editing my userpage that was stated earlier get me banned from editing it temporarily? 〜Pikachu9000 13:56, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
As long as you make ONE edit per day, AND pad that edit with mainspace edits, then no. Bulbapedia is a place of work. You're allowed to have a super fancy extravagant userpage, but just be aware, the mainspace is what needs the most attention here. -- MAGNEDETH 22:06, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
Alright. Thanks for the info. One more question: Does the User talk page count as the userspace as well? 〜Pikachu9000 23:53, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
No, but you should still use the preview button. -- MAGNEDETH 22:30, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
Okay, but is there a "one-edit-a-day" limit on the user talk page like there is on the userspace? 〜Pikachu9000 15:58, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi. No need to answer the previous question. I was just reading over the section and saw that you made 2 edits in one day to this section alone! And since this is your user talk page, that pretty much answers my question. Thanks for answering my previous questions though. (And yes. This means that as of yet, I have no more questions regarding this section.) Good luck with being Bulbapedia's Editor-in-Chief! Thanks for all your help! 〜Pikachu9000 00:56, 1 August 2011 (UTC)

Large-Scale Pokémon Graph Projects

Hello!

[1][2]

If those don't work, go to photobucket.com and search "Googlebonker."

These are projects I started that I really don't want to take the time to finish. I'd like them to be presented to the Pokémon community for other people to continue work on them.

I enjoyed seeing graphs in an early strategy guide for Pokémon. I don't understand why they stopped using that style of graph and began using numbers of blocks/circles to represent the strength of a Pokémon's Stats. Graphs included in the above-linked albums are more accurate representations of Pokémon's Base Stats and maximum and minimum stats with Hindering, Neutral, and Beneficial Natures.

The files in the "Pokemon Project Base Stat Graphs" album include a blank Base Stats graph, Base Stat comparison charts by evolution chain, and Base Stat graphs for the following Pokémon:

Pokemon #001-#151, all evolutions and/or pre-evolutions of Pokémon #001-#151 not included in those numbers (where applicable), Shuckle, Shedinja, Arceus, Zekrom, and Reshiram

The "Pokemon Project Maximum and Minimum Stat Graphs" (M&MSGs) album includes blank M&MSGs and M&MSGs for the Pokémon listed above. It also contains the albums "Attack Special Attack Defense Special Defense," "HP_," and "Speed." These albums contain color-coded pixels indicating M&MS based on Base Stats. These files can be used in conjunction with a blank M&MSG to more easily make a new M&MSG for a Pokémon.

I already have a guide on how to construct files ready to go.

The "01Items" Album and its sub-albums contain a small amount of files. These files are the basis of a much larger, more time-consuming subproject of graphing Pokémon's M&MS while holding certain items that affect Pokémon's Stats (not the Base Power of Moves).

I don't guarantee all of the information I've graphed is correct.

Thank you for your time and reading. I hope someone or some people can take the reigns of these projects and see them through to completion. Googlebonker 19:34, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

The graphs are far less accurate and exact than our bar style. It would also be extremely difficult to implement as opposed to our coded templates. I appreciate the effort and suggestion, but it isnt really feasible. Also, please use the preview button instead of making multiple small edits. -- MAGNEDETH 04:01, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

I can understand about the feasibility, but far less accurate? Did you open those files or simply look at the thumbnails? Isn`t it possible to have a small version of a picture that shows the full version when a mouse cursor`s tip pixel is placed over any of the small version`s position?

Googlebonker 06:09, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Not with the current version of Mediawiki. We can only have the thumbnail on the page, and when clicked, it loads the image page. It's less desirable than what we have at the moment. The bars are an easy enough way to compare them, for me at least easier, since they all go in the same direction. Also, take in mind that the current template uses relatively little loading - it doesn't use any images from the archives. Even in the show/hides we have, the images are still all loaded when the page is, so a large image would negatively imact the loading times. Werdnae (talk) 09:25, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Uploading Files

Why won't it let me upload files? I want to upload a picture but it says I don't have permission. - unsigned comment from ZMT123 (talkcontribs)

If you're trying to upload over an existing image, you must be autoconfirmed on the Archives on order to do so. It's an anti-vandalism measure. Werdnae (talk) 19:50, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

I think it's time to get down to unova.

Yeah, I began reading your whole Pokemon favs, hates and all that stuff. I think you should list the ones from Gen 5. I know you haven't yet probably because it's time consuming, and all. Peanut64

Trivia

If we aren't allowed to add trivia, why is trivia always being added? Arceuscl405 17:22, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Excuse me MAGNEDETH, I hope you don't mind me butting into your page. Arceusc1405, trivia isn't ALWAYS being added. There are some people that can edit a piece of trivial information. And sometimes, there are some people that get away with it because Bulbapedia editors cannot monitor everything 100% of the time. I hope you understand that. Han Ji-Wan 22:42, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

External Links Update for Gen 5

I noticed that the external links sections of Pokémon pages still haven't been updated for Gen V. I would be happy to update them myself if my account had the permission to do that, but in lieu of that I put the updated code in the Talk page for each one under the heading "Proposed Gen 5 Update". Obviously if you don't agree with the changes I'm proposing you don't have to implement them:

On the page for Langley, there are teal colors in the infobox. I want to use that for this, but the colors are in the form of codes. Is there any way you can help me with this? You are the only staff member I see up here right now. :--SuperAipom7 (Wanna chat?) 21:47, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

I keep logging out...?

Hey Mag, I'm having some issues, and I'd thought I'd try and see if you can tell me how to fix them. So, everytime I X-out of the internet window, Bulbapedia logs me out. And I have to log in all over again. However, if I just press log in, and then click the back button, I'm logged in. It's been doing it since Bulbapedia was locked down last week. Got any idea what's causing it, because this has never happened before. Littlmiget123 17:08, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing it up. Deth, I'm having the same issue as well. Pedia, Archives and News are unable to save the login data and keep asking me to log in again, whenever I close my browser. However, forums are working fine. I was going to ask Zhen but he's offline right now. So, I am assuming it's because of the system data transfer, is it? ♫♪エイディニズ♪♫ 18:00, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

Okay, it shall be done. And yes, I saw that, but I don't use the forums, so I didn't use it. ^-^' Sorry. Littlmiget123 01:12, 30 August 2011 (UTC)

Internamespace redirects

Hey there. I was bumming around today and I realized that we don't have many, if any, redirects from the mainspace to the Bulbapedia namespace. If somebody wants to find out, say, who the administrators are, they're probably going to type in "Administrators" or "Admins" into the search bar, which will get them nowhere. Well, not nowhere. They'd have to click around for it. Would you be opposed to having redirects from the mainspace for some of the larger items in the Bulbapedia namespace? Like, the big policies, usergroups, etc. I don't see any inherent problem with it, but I figure there might be some reason why we don't have them. Thoughts? --P o L i 18:54, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Comment: There's a slight problem with Admins, but the administrator page is linked from there regardless. —darklordtrom 20:49, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
a lot of our BP pages do have redirects last i checked. even staff links to us. -- MAGNEDETH 21:57, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Alright. Then I suppose I see no problem with making ones for the pages that don't. You'd think that if "Staff" redirects, "Administrators" would redirect. xD --P o L i 18:17, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Aside from your page not being a necessary addition to the site, it was very poorly written and not up to our standards. Furthermore, instead of making multiple edits to a page, you should use the preview button. Essentially though, if you want to contribute, it's clear you're not entirely familiar with the site and wiki editing, so you should check our rules and policies first. - unsigned comment from MAGNEDETH (talkcontribs)

Watchlist Curiousity

Hi MAGNEDETH. So here's the thing: A few days ago, I was looking at my watchlist, something I do every now and again, and I saw something on it that made me wonder what it was for. That thing is the little number in parentheses next to the username. You know, the little number that's either green or red. That thing. Normally, I would just disregard it entirely and continue with whatever I was doing, but this time, I stopped to wonder, "Why is this thing here? What is it even for?" And for everyone else out there looking at this, I'll insert a "typed picture" as well to show what I'm talking about. And this is an actual example from my watchlist. So here it is everyone:

See the bold green "(+1,757)"? That's what got me curious. What is is for? Why is it there? What does it mean? I'm very confused right now. Oh, and, by the way, the large amount of "-"s is for things on my watchlist that I prefer not to post, just to stay out of trouble from other users.

So, that's pretty much it. Bye!

Oh! before I forget, MAGNEDETH, I dropped you a line on your forum page regarding your userpage and my not-yet-posted userpage, so be sure to read it! Thanks! 〜Pikachu9000 23:23, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

The numbers indicate the size change of the page. So you added 1,757 bytes to the page. Werdnae (talk) 00:00, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Just the same, if the numbers are in red with a minus, it means that bytes have been removed. -- MAGNEDETH 00:19, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
But sometimes, the number is bold and other times it isn't. What does the bold effect mean? And no, I know it doesn't change to bold if the page has been upated since I last visited it. I found that out on my watchlist too; On various pages that are in bold, the number isn't and on other pages that are in bold, the number isn't, so what on Earth does it mean? 〜Pikachu9000 02:24, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
The bold is just for emphasis on large edits. It has no specific purpose. Also, it's against the rules to include a line break for your signature, so don't do that. -- MAGNEDETH 03:07, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Alright. Thanks! I'll remember to do that from now on! 〜Pikachu9000 21:39, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

User page creating

Hello there. I'm a new user here, and I have a question. How can I make a userpage? I can't make yet a userpage? :( I hope to hear soon from you. --Station7 22:09, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy. Pikiwyn talk 22:16, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

MAJOR PROBLEM!!!!!

Hey Mag. (Do you mind if I call you that?) Okay, so here's my problem: while I was on the forums, checking to see if I got any new PMs or replies to my posts or something, I tried to load the page to my profile page and my browser (IE9) said, "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". I tried loading many other pages and they all came up with the same thing! I even tried to get there via the forum link at the bottom of the Main Page! Still nothing! And the worst thing is, I can't access the problem reporting thread on the forums because it's down too! What the heck happened?! Why has the forum betrayed me?!?! Is the forum down for you too? If it is, then I'm guessing that it's undergoing maintenance. If not, then it's probably a problem with my Internet or some other thing. WHY ARE THE FORUMS NOT WORKING?!?! I <3 the forums! They're so much fun to use! So to make a long story short, the forums aren't working and I want to know why this is so. Anyway, I'm pretty much done here. BAI! :D 〜Pikachu9000 21:37, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

The forums just happen to be down. They'll come up shortly after the problems with it are solved. Just wait patiently, you will be rewarded. MaverickNate 21:39, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
K! Thanks a lot! (One for actually answering my question, and two for doing it within 2 minutes of me asking it! XD) 〜Pikachu9000 21:41, 9 November 2011 (UTC)

Project Link Templates

Hi, Please don't laugh at me after reading this!
I think that we should have a "PROJECT LINK TEMPLATES" (or a better name) which aims at adding links to the article and making new templates. Link templates are an essential part of an article, especially in Bulbapedia. I know that it's weird idea but just think about this. Bulbapedia Staff

Hello, I heard Bulbapedia is currently hiring. I have been coming to this site for years and I am very much interested.

I assume I would have to need an account on the Bulbaforums first. It doesn't even let me create an account, though... Philosophical-Psychological Informist Togekiss 01:11, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

What is it saying when you try to make an account? That'll likely tell you what needs to be done differently. Note that, unlike the Bulbawiki accounts, the forums account isn't linked - you'll have to create an account there, rather than just logging is with your Bulbapedia username and password as you would do on, say, Bulbanews.
On the staff application front, as is stated on the news article, you need to have more than 500 mainspace contributions. You're about 450 short. Werdnae (talk) 03:54, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

Hey

It didn't mention it on the news, but when do they tell you if you got the job or not? I'm just curious because I wanna make a few more edits before I get the message. Pokedex493 07:00, 19 November 2011 (UTC)

What are you editing with? (Windows/Mac/andriod/iphone/others, browser?) It sounds to me like when it loads the page, it starts out with the code highlighted - make sure that you un-highlight the text by clicking where you want to edit before you start to type. If you type while it's highlighted, then it deletes everything highlighted to replace it with your text. Also, you don't have to use capslock to get your message across. Pokémon Apokélypse

I watched the trailer again recently, and I listened to Pikachu. I learned they used sound effects from the anime because it obviously sounds like Ikue Ohtani. a "cast" doesnt specifically have to refer to speaking roles, so Meowth can stay. Ikue would only be mentioned in the same way that archives info is tagged, which i can add. -- MAGNEDETH 05:00, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

Conversations on the same page

Having replies on the same page is not necessary: it has always been personal preference (which can be seen by the few users who state on the top of their page that they like messages together, such as Kogoro). Additionally, according to the talk page policy, when you removed the comment from masatoshi's page, you broke the part of the talk page etiquette that says : "Removing comments is also frowned upon." No where does it state that they need to be on the same userpage when talking to someone, and it shouldn't (we can't force a certain personal preference). Telling the person to do it that way from now on would have been the appropriate action, without removing the comment. The history is now on Masatoshi's page, and if looking at the history on DigiKatana's page, it appears that you are posting messages with someone else's signature (which appears to be a much larger offense). Moral: You can't force users to post on the same page. You can ask them to do that, but as it is personal preference, you cannot force it upon them. MaverickNate 17:49, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Something is wrong here, that rule is supposed to be on there. It was agreed upon by everyone a long long time ago.

I was unfairly banned from the forum just because I told everyone I had a brother. There seems to be a mistake. Better yet, it appears to be [here] yet it strangely won't show on any page even when refreshing it. Any clue as to why it does so? Frozen Fennec 20:49, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
Could you check if any of these four images will load for you? 1, 2, 3, 4. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 22:13, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
Nope, none of them work. Would saving the coin image and reuploading it under a new file name work? Frozen Fennec 22:21, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
There shouldn't be an issue with the file itself. I, and a few test subjects, have reloaded all of these thumbnails and they're all working perfectly. Could you check if you're having the same issue with any recently uploaded files, or if it's just a localized issue with that one file? Also, did you get a specific error message or anything when those four thumbnails failed to load? If so, what was the message? Anyway, filename changes are an action restricted to members of the Archives staff and are only used as a last ditch effort to fix a file problem like this. - Kogoro - Talk to me - 22:50, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh, in the case of if images will load..? They work just fine loading upon viewing the image/thumbnail. I was simply trying to change the coin showing up on the Electric Garden (TCG) page to show the Pikachu coin instead of Lugia coin, it just says 50px when previewing it. Frozen Fennec 22:58, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
I see you changed it, shows up just fine too. Thanks for doing so Kogoro!! Frozen Fennec 23:08, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Regarding my Brother's Friend's Account

My brother's friend attempted to make an account on here a while ago. His name wasn't available. He couldn't find a name. He signed up as ShadowLugia with his email address and he wants to talk to people, have a profile, and post edits. He has another friend from BMGF and serebii from his high school named Ruckus Jorgee who my brother is a good friend with and is NOT AMORAL or IMMORAL; I don't care what Serebii said on his profile. It is untrue. Can you send him ShadowLugia a password to sign up with as he told me to send one of the mods a message as he's still looking for his phone charger so he can get me on the sites, then he's going to talk about his sibling of his own. ShadowLugia or Max claims he has a sister. (MichaelXD 01:06, 25 February 2012 (UTC))

This doesn't pass the duck test. No dice. -- MAGNEDETH 04:37, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

What do you mean by that? He never received an email about activating his account. Do I bring it up to the admin of Bulbapedia? (MichaelXD 05:42, 25 February 2012 (UTC))

You didn't say that before. In fact, I'm not sure what you were trying to say because your comment didn't make any sense.
Also, I'm the "admin" of Bulbapedia, aka the Editor-in-Chief. Tell your friend to check their junk mail filter. -- MAGNEDETH 20:16, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

He did check his junk mail which you mean by spam mail and it wasn't there. Second, I have 2 questions. How did my comment not make sense? How can he get reactivated once he did check his spam folder? He was in it a lot of times. (MichaelXD 21:13, 25 February 2012 (UTC))

Wikipedia

I have noticed that Wikipedia feels that we are not good enough for page creation, as they have deleted previous pages for Bulbapedia, and no longer allow new ones. However, they use this site for some of the Pokémon information, such a if you search "Bulbapedia", you get hundereds of hits. Do you think something should be done about that? - unsigned comment from Rsrdaman (talkcontribs)

Do I think we deserve a page? Yes. We are one of the largest, and more specifically, highest quality user based wiki's on the net.
Am I going to fight them for it it? No. Their bureaucracy is far too complicated and time consuming for me to bother fighting with.
With that said, sign your comments. -- MAGNEDETH 05:28, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
How dare you EC me on your own talkpage, Deth.
That said, not every website on the internet that is referenced as a source on a Wikipedia page will be notable enough to have its own article. (Not saying that we're not, but I'm also not saying that we are, by their standards.) 梅子 05:32, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
I know that, but like what Deth said, Bulbapedia is one of the best, and they use it a lot for references. Well, I will try to get them to let me write and article for Bulbapedia, wish me luck. Bulbapedia Unfair Block

Magnedeth, I'm wondering why you accused me of being Cycling Road. I did not make a new account to start over. In fact, I have nothing to edit. I just have questions about how some formulas and how to plug in some math equations into a formula to get something different other than the damage. I did nothing wrong. My brother was unfairly blocked when he made his account and his account was disabled and I think you owe us an apology. I told the community the whole time I had a brother and he even stated he was my older brother himself. (MichaelXD 15:40, 27 February 2012 (UTC))

Would you mind telling me who is ShadowLugia then, and why does both of you have the exact same ip address? ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 17:29, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

I'll explain it very carefully. ShadowLugia is a friend of my brother. He couldn't find a name so he just composed a name of something that is from Pokemon XD, something that is like supposed to frighten my favorite character from the game but it doesn't because it is snagged. He's actually Max and I don't know his connection to the bulbagarden forums but I know that I had a brother that came on there and when I said I had a brother I was banned and he was banned for asking a question and when his other friend Ruckus Jorgee talked to Ghost, he lied to him saying you don't get banned asking about why was someone banned. But it wasn't even about the ban. It was about a third party infraction he claims his friend received unfairly. (MichaelXD 17:33, 27 February 2012 (UTC))

In reference to your first comment, if you have nothing to edit, then you shouldn't be on BP. That's what we do, we edit.
As for your second reply to Adyniz's comment, you didn't explain why you and "your brother's friend" share an IP. -- MAGNEDETH 23:05, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
I never understood why people get blocked or banned for sharing the same IP address, isn't it a fact that if two different people use the same computer, they share the same IP. And isn't it also a fact that if I were to log in a different state or computer that my IP address would be different. Or am I in a universe where magic exists, and IP addresses are linked psychically to a single person?--Dman dustin 23:30, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

That's not true. I have edited things up but Werdnae told me that I had to go and read the manual style. I feel like I've been edit warring or saying things that are redundant. I only edit in facts that I know. I didn't make Pokemon so I shouldn't be making up anything, right? My brother has the same IP address as his friend because we live in the same house and we rely on one computer to log on as a source for our information, entertainment, fun, and enjoyment.

Dman, you should see that my brother's other friend had the same very exact problem and he's debating this on Wikipedia. I believe that even if IP's aren't tied to one person they shouldn't change just because the IP changes. If you live in a different state, I heard rumors hearsay from Max at the time from what he said in 2009 was that you could be accused of impersonating and you may not want that. Also my brother was nice to me and maybe he wanted to edit something. I didn't know what was on his mind but he gave me a nice greeting here and he can prove he was falsely treated too. (MichaelXD 23:40, 27 February 2012 (UTC))

I guess, I just always assumed IP addresses were computer fixed not user fixed, so if someone else who made an account in Florida for example, were to have a different IP address if they logged in a different state. But I guess it's possible that the initial IP address is fixed, but that's got to suck if people make accounts in a different computer than they normally are used to, and it happens to be the same IP address as someone else (perhaps a relative, or even a friend). - unsigned comment from Dman dustin (talkcontribs)
Sorry I forgot to sign, and I don't know how to do the unsigned comment thing. --Dman dustin 23:49, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
If I can say something, not everyone gets banned just because they share an IP address. In fact the majority of them are never banned. It depends on the situation. --ケンジガール 23:52, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I should hope that sharing an IP address isn't the only factor in deciding to ban a user. Everyone in my house has the same IP address when connecting to the internet, despite each one of us having at least one computer of our own, and that's because the IP address is from our router. If for whatever reason my entire family decided to sign up on Bulbapedia, it wouldn't be fair for them all to be immediately banned. :V
But I'm confused as to what the specific case is here, though, so... yes. 梅子 23:57, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

I have done one of those before by thinking I just type the brackets and my name but you're supposed to just use the 4 tildes in the parenthesis to sign your name. It's when I was confirming stuff in anime that Brock's Geodude is ♂, Brock's Onix is ♂, Brock's Vulpix is ◙ even if I did hear rumors of it being female and that his Forretress was ◙ for example because it was female in the Stadium games and I want nothing of its abilities to be done with Dream World, then I learned how to sign the 4 tildes after I got caught doing that. Whether it was fact or opinion, I was really basing it on my past video game experience or my friends and his older friends or cousins that spread a rumor that Brock's Vulpix was ◙. I don't know what they discussed at their auntie's house. I wasn't there.

If a person uses the same computer, it'll have the same IP as itself. Hence, that's what I was trying to explain to a few people who I assume wanted to help me get my block lifted. Cycling Road is a very nice person. I don't care what Serebii or some other IRC staffers said against them. They made up some crap about my brother and said he was Max to have him banned. Lies and slander and our family doesn't tolerate it and it's a fallacy of them. (MichaelXD 23:58, 27 February 2012 (UTC))

Lets just get back to work everyone. No need to waste more of our time. -- MAGNEDETH 00:10, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Mystery card

I have a Pokémon card that is NOT a TCG card and its very old* card from some promotional set*. Here's the Front and Back. I have found art online with these pictures, but not the card itself. Do you have ANY clue as to what it is? --×Rsrdaman× 02:15, 1 March 2012 (UTC)

Not even a slight clue. But I will say that "very old" and "2 years" are not synonymous. I have TCG cards that are from the first release. I consider them "pretty old" or so. -- MAGNEDETH 05:34, 1 March 2012 (UTC)
To me it looks like a card from a deck of cards that have the Hiragana and Katakana alphabets on them. We use to use them all the time in my high school Japanese class, since they're used to teach little kids Hiragana and Katakana. It is no surprise to me that they'd make some with Pokemon on them. What do you mean Deth? Im not saying its 2 years old but that I've had it since I was 2. Here is where SnorlaxMonster translated it. Its just really confused me over the years. I've never seen another one, the guy who gave it to me died from E coli, and it has the original artwork of Vileplume on it. I think they're just not considered notable enough to include, at least as its own page. Think of them as being just about as noteworthy as novelty decks of cards you can find at dollar stores. Including them on the pedia would be like including every single variation of stationery that the Pokemon Center stores cycle through on a seasonal basis.
But if you really want to, try taking it up with Project Merchandise. 梅子 00:58, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

So?

How about it ? Do I still have the permission to continue editing appearances ? And btw, why is it forbidden to ask on forums about where to watch an Pokémon episode ? I mean aren't we all a Community focused on Pokémon ?----DJWolfy 15:14, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

The reason it is forbidden is that the only legal ways to watch the anime are 1) watching it when it's played on TV or 2) Buying the DVD. Everything else is illegal. By asking where to watch an episode, you are using Bulbagarden as a means to do something illegal. Allowing that could make Nintendo take the whole site down. Werdnae (talk) 19:01, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Yeah tell that to torrent trackers and youtube. But thanks for answering my inquire.----DJWolfy 19:03, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
I'd just like to throw in that watching the episodes on Pokémon.com is perfectly legal, and I constantly watch them there. It is also great for getting screenshots (since I can't really screenshot my TV and don't own any non-movie Pokémon DVDs). --SnorlaxMonster 23:07, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
Exactly ! Therefore asking for episodes to watch online can not be considered an illegal action.----DJWolfy 23:10, 9 March 2012 (UTC)
If I had known they were on the official Pokemon site I could have been watching the episodes all along. Guess I never checked since they didn't have episodes when I went there last time. Frozen Fennec 23:16, 9 March 2012 (UTC)

Template Include Size is over the limit

Okay the page List of movie event Pokémon still has tons more that still need listed. However it has passed the number of templates allowed on any given page. That isn't even including the movie events that are to come with each new movie. The Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded said to talk to the Editor-in-Chief about this problem. I will leave it up to you as to what you want to do, because I don't have any idea on how to fix this problem. Since the page doesn't have much use if only some of the templates show up (since each event Pokémon gets a new template for them). - unsigned comment from Lady Ariel (talkcontribs)

That template could do with a redesign. That said, I just went through and replaced roughly a hundred templates in it with their raw code, so it should work now. Werdnae (talk) 22:28, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
