Welcome

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Berrymaster!

As a new user, you may wish to learn a few things that will be useful in your editing:

  • For a basic overview of wiki code, see this page.
  • The manual of style is very important. Make sure to read it. It outlines all official policies of Bulbapedia.
  • The word Pokémon is spelled with a capital P and an accented é. The P, of course, is accessed easily by holding Shift and pressing the P key, while the é can be accessed using Alt + 130 or Alt + 0233 on a Windows computer, and Option + e, then e again on a Mac. Otherwise, you can click it in the character palette below the editbox.
  • The word Poké Ball is spelled as two words. The "Poké" part is identical to the four beginning letters in "Pokémon"; "Ball" is spelled with a captial B (which is, again, accessed by holding Shift and pressing the B key). The spelling "Pokéball" arises frequently, but is incorrect.
  • The word "you" and all forms of it should not be used on encyclopedic pages unless it is a quote from Pokémon or other media. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough.
  • On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
  • The use of link templates is official policy. For an explanation on their use, see the page on shortlinks.
  • If you happen to spot a vandal in the recent changes that has not been dealt with, please see this page for how to deal with it.
  • A list of pages that are linked to, but have not been created, can be found at this page. A list of short articles that may require more information can be found here, while a list of articles that need improvement can be found here.
  • For a future capture, release, trade, or evolution of a Pokémon belonging to a main character of the anime, please do not create or move the page to reflect your suspicions, even if they are shared by many others. Policy here is to wait until the episode in which the event happens takes place is aired, unless there is substantial evidence for the suspicion (such as Brock's Happiny being held in his arms).
  • Image uploading is done on Bulbagarden Archives, a separate wiki accessible through the toolbox in the sidebar. You will have to register separately for it, as well. This is done so that both Bulbapedia and Bulbanews have access to the images uploaded.
  • If you want to make a page about a character you made up, please create it at User:Berrymaster/(name), not merely (name). Bulbapedia's main namespace is reserved for actual, official Pokémon, items, characters, and locations. Also, please try to make sure that subpages are not categorized by templates used within.
  • Having said this, please make sure that you do contribute adequately to the main namespace. Bulbapedia is not MySpace or Facebook.
  • A list of the admins that you can contact in case of a problem, can be found here.

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! MoldyOrange 20:02, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

What's wrong with u?

Y did u have Palkia get rid of Spacial Rend? It's its signature move!--KukiTalk 16:27, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Two reasons: I needed a move with more PP (Dragon Claw: it has 15 while Spacial Rend only has 5); and Draco Meteor has more power behind it. Just because it's a signature move doesn't mean that it *has* to be in their moveset. Berrymaster 16:35, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

u could have used pp ups...Garrison12795 16:38, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Exactly, and Dragon Klaw is weak copared to SR--KukiTalk 16:40, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Or maybe not bother wasting them. Even with max PP Ups, the max Spacial Rend can get is 8; Dragon Claw has 15 to start with. Dragon Claw has 80 power; Spatial Rend has 100; Draco Meteor has 150. To be clear, Palkia came with Spatial Rend and Dragon Claw; I replaced Spatial Rend with Draco Meteor, which is more powerful, has the same type so STAB applies and has the same PP. Berrymaster 16:43, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

OK I understand--KukiTalk 16:52, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

New fault: NO PICS IN SIGS!--KukiTalk 03:58, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Wow, I have no idea where this 'personal vendetta' you have against me came from. I still see many other signatures on this board containing pictures, so to me it was acceptable.
Either way, it's changed now, and thank you for the warning (however impolite it may have been). Is the new one better? ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 04:11, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
That one is perfectly fine; sorry about how you have been treated, Users aren't suppose to do that. MoldyOrange 04:16, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
The other signatures still with pictures in them are probably ones from before the rule was created. - s.Combusken 04:18, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Flying

It says in the top paragraph. The last sentence. "Each other type, besides Fighting, has also been paired with the Flying-type on at least one Pokémon." Just thought I'd show you the proof. You can check it out for yourself. --PsychicRider 22:47, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

OK, thanks for drawing my attention to it. ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 22:50, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
You're very welcome. And it was also so it wouldn't be considered an edit war and one of us gets blocked. --PsychicRider 22:52, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Don't worry, the admins have more than once proved me wrong on an issue. Seems I jump to conclusions a lot... keep up the good work though. ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 22:53, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Well, I'm sure I've done that, but no ones gotten on my case about jumping to conclusions. And thanks, you keep up the good work too. --PsychicRider 22:55, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Your Torterra

Its Grass not Fire. *tc26* 03:13, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out, looks like I overlooked that... probably when I copied the template. If you see anymore errors, feel free to point them out (although I can't change them until tomorrow, my 3 edits are up). ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 03:17, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
And your Quagsire says Water/Flying, just to let you know. --PsychicRider 03:25, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, my Quagsire's special and has wings, Kuki was gonna make a special sprite for it... alright, I'm just not fully used to this new template yet. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll get to it tomorrow. (I think there's no more embarrassing errors now) ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 03:32, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
I want it then!! I didn't see anymore. Good like flying on that thing though. --PsychicRider 03:33, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Cards

You completely left out the set info. It just made it easier to revert than to actually find the set info again. You have to do everything at once, not just pieces at a time. MaverickNate 16:17, 22 March 2009 (UTC)

Ah, I see where I went wrong... sometimes it's hard for me to initially figure out a template without a walk-through. I'll start working on Skyridge. Thanks! ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 16:23, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Don't remove information though. The Japanese card numbers and set info have to be in the template as well, and you removed them... MaverickNate 16:36, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Well, where does that information go? Looking at other card templates, the information isn't included there... ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 16:38, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Base what you do off of what I do, not off of what other people do. But do not remove categories. the seperate fields are "jpexpansion= |" and "jprarity= |" and "jpcardno= |" MaverickNate 16:41, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
OK, I think I've got it now... thanks for your help! ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 16:53, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Fantastic Job! MaverickNate 17:34, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I saw something that you need to know. If there isn't a retreatcost, you can get rid of the option, like you do with resistance. MaverickNate 18:36, 22 March 2009 (UTC)
But make sure that if there is, you put it on. MaverickNate 01:28, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

For cards that I don't know if there's one (any that don't have a picture, basically...) I delete, therefore it shows up blank. Should I be assuming which cards have which retreat costs?
What is going to happen with the cards that evolve from Mysterious Fossil (Aerodactyl, Omanyte, Kabuto)? I'd like to get those finished as well. ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 01:31, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

It is already listed on the pages, {{e}}{{e}} equals 2. MaverickNate 01:36, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Ah, ok. Noting it for the future. Now back to plowing through Skyridge... ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 01:38, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Good work. Just...evostage is set as Basic for default. If so, no need for that field. ht14 22:21, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

(resetting indent) Thanks! ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 00:08, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Evostage must be put in. MaverickNate 01:13, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, just followin' orders... I'll fix them. ←{Berrymaster|Talk|Contrib}→ 01:14, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
