Woodland Mudkip

I'm your general Pokémon fan, and the first Episode I ever saw was 'Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden', at the time not even knowing I was watching Pokémon.. I love starter Pokémon and the Gym Leaders and unlike some I love the expansion of the Pokémon world - I like diversity.

My Favourite Pokémon

I don't class Pokémon by generation but by region. However since so many Pokémon are native to more than one region I'll be putting them mainly by the generation they first appeared in (unless they are evolutions or pre-evolutions)

Kanto

The original region, it was originally home to 150 Pokémon but has expanded a lot since then. Naturally I have changed some of the evo-lines I like due to this.

Johto

Johto is my least favourite region Pokémon-wise, they added some unique looking Pokémon but there were only 100 new Pokémon, it seemed like about a quarter were new evolutions, there were so many Pokémon that didn't evolve and the legendaries weren't too interesting.

Hoenn

I liked this generation because I like diversity and a lot of new Pokémon lines were introduced. The Legendary Pokémon weren't too great but some were interesting.

Sinnoh

Another Johto situation, but they added a lot of cool Pokémon. Several of my favourite Pokémon come from this generation. They overdid it with the Legendaries but at least they were interesting..

Opinions

On Games

My favourite game is currently unknown. I like them all fairly equally. I like G/S but I hate the old graphics compared to the current standards. It was also fairly boring - like a dragged out version of R/B/Y. R/B was amazing. It had that nostalgic feel to it - nothing overly exciting happened and it was kind of quaint. The later games are great story-wise but it all gets a bit boring after the elite 4 are defeated.. Overall the games are great until they're beaten. Then they just get boring and repetitive... Still, getting to catch Pokémon is fun..

On Animé

I first watched the Animé not realising the program I was watching. It was unintentional and I wasn't really intent on watching it. I first saw Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden and didn't really think about it much. It just seemed random to me. When I started watching it from the first episode I was amazed by it, and looking back at it I'm surprised how much I liked it considering the first series is kind of boring to me now. The one thing I really hate about the Animé is Team Rocket's constant reminder that it's actually a cartoon. I hate it when the characters know they're not real, it just removes the point of the program.

===On 'The Twerps'

On Ash

Sadly I like Ash - even though no-one notices he has grown up considerably. Even his appearance is drastically different and I prefer this newer, smarter, laid back Ash. I can't say I liked him originally though. I also love his Pokémon. Especially Butterfree, Bulbasaur, and Pikachu.

On Misty

Misty was/is one of the best characters, although she's better when she's feisty. It was due to her that I like Poliwag's evo-chain, and Staryu's but I would have preferred it if her Togepi didn't evolve.

On Brock

Brock is also great, I don't know what to say about him but he is definitely worth keeping in the show. But I don't get why he seems to get shorter every time he has an outfit change...

On Tracy

Tracy had some unconventional Pokémon on his team, and although he's not that great I still liked him. It's a shame he's never seen and he's the only young character who hasn't gone through the ageing process..

On May

I really liked May. It took a while at first but she was great. Especially her Pokémon. I love Skitty and it's amazing that she has a Bulbasaur. VineShipping has my support..

On Max

Max started off being an annoying thinks-he-knows-it-all but evolved into a whiny crybaby. Still, he was funny although he was rather pointless while Brock was there. I suppose he was like a substitute for Togepi or something... Only joking...

On Dawn

May surpasses Dawn so she has a lot of catching up to do. I haven't seen the DP saga at all so I haven't formed any real opinions yet..

My Favourite Characters

Gym Leaders

Lt. Surge is my favourite gym leader of all.. He's also the tallest human character being twice the height of Ash which I am extremely impressed at. He may only have one animé appearance, and he may have been a bit brutal but I still like him. He also has a Raichu which is always a bonus..

Although I prefer the Animé Surge, I do like the overall character in all his various forms. I prefer the Kanto Gym Leaders to most others, not just because they were the originals but because I preferred their designs.
