From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
So, you've miraculously found this page from my sidebar. Good work. Let's get down to buisness.
You wanna steal items, yes?
Rare items?
Evolution-inducing held items?
Well, you're in luck. Here's my guide to getting as many Magmarizers as you can carry. Enough Dragon Scales to cover that giant Dragonite Bill saw. Enough NeverMeltIces to freeze over the Orange Islands.
So, you ask, how do you start this, exactly?
Setup
Well... you'll need a Pokémon with Compoundeyes. I personally use a Butterfree, it doesn't matter, really. As long as they're a low-level Pokémon with Compoundeyes, you're set.
| Pokémon | Location | Prerequisite | |
|---|---|---|---|
| | Butterfree | Route 204, Eterna Forest | FireRed, evolution |
| | Venonat | Route 229 | Poké Radar |
| | Yanma | Great Marsh | National Dex |
| | Nincada | Eterna Forest | Poké Radar |
So now, you're thinking, okay, so what does this help? Well, wait for the sun to go down... it's time to get a ghost...
...or, well, you could go for ol' Rudolph. I personally just went for a Banette. What you need next is a Pokémon with Frisk.
| Pokémon | Location | Prerequisite | |
|---|---|---|---|
| | Stantler | Route 207 | Pearl, Poké Radar |
| | Shuppet | Breeding | At least one Banette |
| | Banette | Route 225 | Night |
Now finally, you need a Pokémon with Thief or Covet. As it has been since Generation II, Thief is TM47. The only problem is... TMs aren't infinite. There are so many Pokémon that can get those two moves the possibilities are endless... Just pick your favorite (or wait for LEVEL 66 for Banette to learn Trick and kill two birds with one stone). I personally have a Kecleon because a: they learn Thief at level 1, and b: they're... easy enough to get. I guess. Whatever you want.
So now, with your three Pokémon (and hopefully some backup in case things go sour), you head off...
And now it's time to steal some items.
(will write the rest later)
