The Battle Pyramid (Japanese: バトルピラミッド Battle Pyramid) is battle facility in the Battle Frontier. Trainers can embark on the Battle Quest, where they must explore the dark levels of the 7-layer pyramid. These dark floors can only be lit up by defeating opponents on the level.
After passing through 21 floors (three passes through) and 70 floors (ten passes), Pyramid King Brandon appears at the top to challenge the player. If he is defeated, he awards the Brave Symbol.
Restrictions
No Pokémon may enter if it is holding an item. The player cannot access the regular Bag inside the facility, and instead can only use the Battle Bag. Battles conducted here do not award experience or money. Any Pokémon can be entered for battle, except for the following Pokémon:
Items
Items cannot be taken in, but they can be found on the ground and are stored in the Battle Bag. The Battle Bag can hold up to 10 different kinds of items, and only 99 of each kind of item. The level 50 and open level Battle Bags are separate, but they carry over between challenges as long as the player does not lose.

Item balls on the ground and Pickup share the same pool of items. These items change per 7 floors/1 round. The items found include HP-restoring and PP-restoring items, Fluffy Tails, status-restoring Berries, Revives, Sacred Ashes, battle items, as well as various held items.
