This can be used when linking to subpages easilly, be it user, user talk or otherwise. {{{1}}} is the name of the subpage. {{{2}}} is the name of the user or non-mainspace page. {{{3}}} is used when linking to a non-user subpage.
For example, if I wanted to link to my page about unused usertags, I would put {{User:RexRacer/Pagelink|subst:|RexRacer}}, which would end up as
As of now it is a redundant template, because you need to type in the long name when using it. If it gets in the mainspace under PL then that would resolve the issue.
Just a little experiment....
