Why this radical change of starter? Well, as a Fighting-type investigator, I feel like I must train any fighting Pokemon to discover everything about them. I also search for fighting-type attacks, TM, HM, eggs hatches and so on.
I'm so proud that fighting Pokemon have that large amount of methods of evolution (even one being exclusive):
By level (Primeape)
By evolutionary stone (Poliwrath)
By trading (Machamp)
By attack & defense (Hitmon brothers)
By time & happiness (Lucario)
By gender with evolutionary stone (Gallade)
They also cover 7 different types: Water, Bug, Fire, Grass, Psychic, Steel & Poison
