For Christmas in 1998 I received both Pokémon Red and Blue. I had been wanting the games ever since I had seen them in Nintendo Power. I instantly fell in love with the games. Eventually getting Pokémon Yellow and Stadium, Pokémon quickly became my favorite gaming franchise. I stayed strong with the franchise until after the release of Gold and Silver. At which point the lack of Pokémon games got to me and I started not to follow the franchise nearly as much. Since then I have been on and off with the franchise and always come back when a new game is announced.
