Hi, I'm LucidTaint!
I'm the single mom of the best kid in the world (who is currently obsessed with Pokémon Diamond), in a wonderfully loving relationship with the man of my dreams (who gives his Pokémon sarcastic names). What more could a Pokémon fan-girl want?
Yes, I'm almost 30 years old, and I still play Pokémon. I have very fond memories of pulling all-nighters to get further in my Pokémon Yellow game, back when I was in high school. I am probably one of the geekiest girls you'll ever know. Not only did I play Dungeons & Dragons, but I can quote from the rulebooks. When I was 8 years old, I picked up a manual on how to program in BASIC on the Commodore 64; today, I can proudly say that I can fluently code in 4 different programming languages.
Currently, I am studying for my teacher's certification. My major is in English. Someday, I'd like to instill the same love for reading, writing, and comprehensible grammar in middle school students that I have.
I can't really think of anything more to say about myself. I've never been one to "toot my own horn," as the saying goes. Thankfully, here at Bulbapedia, we have user tags to do the talking for us, so I'll direct your attention to the right-hand side of your monitor. Anything else worth saying is probably private, anyway, but feel free to ask; I'm not easily offended and I'll let you know if I don't feel like answering your question.
Old Pokémon Games
These are the old Pokémon games that I played, but no longer have. I can remember my starter pokémon from each one, but that's about it. I'm afraid I can't even remember what I named my trainer in those games, heh.
Battle Team (Work in Progress)
This is my dream team. I've always been a big fan of the Eeveelutions. Even after they added Espeon and Umbreon, though, there weren't enough to fill out a full party without doubling up on types or taking Eevee (which, as cute as Eevee is, like most pre-evolutions, they have horrible base stats). With the release of Diamond and Pearl, we got Leafeon and Glaceon, which allows my dream to come to fruition! I am currently working on breeding the perfect Eevees to build my long-coveted battle team. (My backup plan is to simply take over the world with my Eevee army....)
Trading
I am currently in the process of building and training my dream team in Pokémon Pearl -- a battle team of Eeveelutions. Because of this, I'm breeding Eevees like crazy, trying to get ones with the specific IVs and Natures that I want. There are quite a few "rejects" that are perfectly fine pokémon... they simply aren't cut out for a competitive battle team. If you would like one, let me know exactly what you would like (gender, nature, etc) and I will see if I have one that fits the bill.
What do I want in return? Very little, actually. I am working on filling out my National Dex in Pearl, so if you have something that isn't in my Dex, I'd be willing to trade.
