It appears to be an orphan! Awwwwww!
It's calling out to you! "Pip!", "Piplup!". It wants you to hold it. You cuddle it then put it back down and you continue your journey through Eterna Forest.
You hear faint footsteps behind you... The Piplup is following you! It wants you to adopt it! You say, "Hey, whats your name, little feller?". The Piplup looks as though it's about to explode from trying too hard, but then it blurts out in a cute, squeaky tone, "PENGUIB!". You start your journey through Eterna Forest with ... uh ... Penguib.
