Generation I

ThunderShock does damage and has a 9.8% chance of paralyzing the opponent.

ThunderShock can't paralyze an opponent that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.

Pokémon

Pikachu Pikachu lights up and then releases a lighting bolt. ThunderShock was one of Pikachu's first moves, and often used it on Ash. The visual effect varies, from being a ball of electricity to an electrical wave.
