Can somebody make it so the Unown isn't completely huge when compared to the other usertags? I think the proper size is something around 50px while this makes the circle 80... →Tinā 23:19, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Done. I just used an image that didn't have the whitespace around the outside. —darklordtrom 09:02, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Why can't Template:User Opera be Jynx?

You said "Most of the other browser tags use the logo as the image." but the truth is none use the logo as image. Why should Opera have the Unown O instead of Jynx when Firefox can have Ninetails? Jynx doesn't represents anything bad for me, who cares controversies??? In Emerald it's sprite IS an Opera singer: there's no better way to represent Opera web browser.

Um... Ninetales is on Firefox because the FF logo has a flaming fox on it? Netscape has a shiny Lunatone because the Netscape logo's blueish and has meteors on it? AOL has Unown A, Safari has Nosepass (logo's a compass, blue and red...), and... well some of the others I have nooooo idea what to put for, so I left them alone. It just seems a little silly to just base off of the name as opposed to the official logo, imo. D:
And fyi I didn't revert Jynx because it's "controversial". It just doesn't fit as well as Unown. Plus animated Emerald gifs are ugh. :I ▫▫ティナ 18:42, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
I'd really appreciate if you stop to think on logos and start to represent them metaphorical, please? And you edited the Safari tag so it would be a logo representation!! --Rafaelluik 18:46, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
I agree with Tina. Leave the icon as is. Opera's logo is an "O" so an Unown O makes sense. --Coolピカチュウ! 23:16, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
No, Firefox template has Ninetails, it has the fire fox but doesn't has the globe. Netscape has Lunatone but it doesn't has a moon in the logo (and don't has a "N")!!! Safari has Kangaskhan since a long time ago and no one cared... Now please revert Opera to Jynx. ;x You don't even use the template... --Rafaelluik 00:43, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
The template is now customizable; you may put <code>{{User Opera|124}}</code> on your usepage in order to have the template with Jynx. Enjoy. 梅子 01:02, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm still unhappy, I can't use the singing Jynx Emerald sprite, can I? ... I still think you could ask for the users currently using the template if they want the O Unown or Jynx to represent Opera... --Rafaelluik 04:34, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
{{User Opera|Spr 3e 124|gif}}. Happy now? —darklordtrom 06:22, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
Honestly, not. I think people that uses this template doesn't know about Jynx Emerald sprite, that's why I wanted a poll to decide the default picture. I want Jynx 48px (so it can fit the circle), how can I do that? --Rafaelluik 18:42, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
Jesus christ, please stop whining. Usertags are not a big deal. They do not merit such debate and argument, and you are the first person to have complained. We're not polling the users of this tag.
{{User Opera|Spr 3e 124|gif|size=48}} There. You've got your 48-pixel-width Emerald-animation Jynx Opera tag. 梅子 19:06, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
¬¬ thx. Could you at least put Jynx ({{User Opera|Spr 3e 124|gif|size=48}}) in the example on the template page instead of Jigglypuff? --Rafaelluik 19:16, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
It's fine as is. Let's stop here and end this whole conversation. Thanks, --Coolピカチュウ! 19:18, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure you don't want to put Jynx neither on the template neither in the example because it's controversial, what a lame... --Rafaelluik 19:27, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
For the last time, it has nothing to do with controversy. Heck, I'm pretty sure Jynx is used in other usertags besides this one. It has to do with the logo and nothing else. --AndyPKMN 11:44, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
There exists more usertags than Pokémon, what makes them to be repeated, if there's a problem on using the same Pokémon in various templates I suggest you to review all the templates on this wiki, I'm sure I saw Bulbasaur, Mew, Porygon (and it's evolutions) and Pikachu in a lot of usertags. And, here is the usertag that Jynx is featured: {{Template:NCS}} --Rafaelluik 19:34, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
The thing about Jynx being featured in other templates was to tell you that it isn't included because it is controversial. Turtwig's A-B-Cs (talk | contribs) 19:43, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
So why it isn't included? Because Firefox template (the browser they use) must be prettier, including a Ninetails and not a F Unown. --Rafaelluik 20:02, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Resetting indent- also. FF users get a Ninetales because it's the closest thing possible to the logo. I'm going to ask as kindly as I can, but please drop the issue. It is completely worthless to keep arguing on and on about this. It does not matter what's on the example tag. The users choose what they want on their page- if they think a Jynx is fitting, then they can put that on their page. But if at all possible, we go by the logo when it comes to browser tags and anything similar to that. ▫▫ティナ 20:07, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Why does Internet Explorer template has Electrode instead of the "e" Unown then? PS: Safari template was left with the Kangaskhan...... --Rafaelluik 07:07, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
It's just a usertag. Don't get all worked up over it. You can make yours a Jynx if you want, but it doesn't need to be changed anywhere else. As Tina asked of you before, please drop the issue =) たかはり 07:13, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
One, because Unown E is uppercase. IE's logo is a lowercase stylized e. Two, everyone calls it Internet Exploder, and the only people who use it are people who don't know there's any other browser out there. TTEchidna 07:32, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
You're making me sick with this issue. I'm just shutting up now....... If only no Firefox or Safari users would be here to argue together with me. :( --Rafaelluik 17:29, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Reopening the discussion about the icon

Template:User_SeaMonkey has an image that has nothing to do with the icon / logo. Why can't Opera be Jynx if you're using symbolism on others??--Rafaelluik 04:57, 13 August 2011 (UTC)

You know... it is possible for you to change the image on your userspace if you dislike the one that was chosen:
{{User Opera|124}}
Copy and paste that. Problem solved. --ケンジガール 05:18, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
I know...--Rafaelluik 16:56, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
If you hate the template so badly, make your own. I did that with no vandel one when found out you can't change the picture. let me know if you want the template I use for making new tags Truthseeker4449 17:18, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm discussing about the default image...--Rafaelluik 18:29, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
O for Opera. The end. If you don't like it modify it on your userpage. Seamonkey has Simipour because it is literally a water monkey. Drop this discussion. You were told to before, so please do so. --P S Yライダー 19:58, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
You're doing symbolism. I was told the image was to be the closest to the icon as possible, SeaMonkey icon isn't a water monkey.--Rafaelluik 21:26, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
Stop nitpicking at the usertags. It's not that big a deal. I am doing symbolism, that's what all user tag icons have. Deal with it. If you don't start doing something constructive, you'll face a short block, you've been told dozens of times to stop nitpicking, and you have yet to stop. Opera has a base Unown O because of O. If you don't like it, change it on your userpage, no one else is complaining but you. Sea Monkey is Simipour because it is a water monkey. It's fine. No one else is complaining but you. If you want to use the Sea Monkey tag, you can change the image on your userpage to Horsea or whatever sea monkey you want it to be. We aren't changing it just because you're complaining or unless it's horribly misinformed or not a serious tag at all. This is the last time we're going to say this. Drop. This. Discussion. --P S Yライダー 22:33, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
