Met at

Maybe "Met at" would be better than "Caught at". "Met" is used in the games, and sounds more... universal (because it covers catching, hatching and obtaining). --Maxim 12:55, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

I kind of agree with this... and if not, can we at leat take out the word “at”? There are several locations for which “at” sounds awkward, as “in” or “on” would be used more commonly in speech.
What if we changed it to “Met” and made it the convention to fill in the field with a full phrase along the lines of “Caught on Route 1”? Or “Hatched in Viridian Forest”? --WikidSmaht 03:13, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Abilities?

Should we add a space that tells what the Pokémon's ability is? --ケンジガール 03:59, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

That will be a nice idea.--Diamaster 04:04, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Possibly. I'll do it soon. TTEchidna 04:05, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm wondering. Do we do Pokémon who have definate abilities like Pikachu and Static? Or do we only mark it if the Pokémon actually used it before? --ケンジガール 04:35, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
For the main characters' pokémon?--Diamaster 04:43, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
If yes, then I think you should wait until they used their abilities.--Diamaster 04:46, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Lots of Pokémon have only one ability and they follow the ones from the games like:
  1. Ash's Pikachu: Static
  2. His Sceptile:Overgrow
  3. His Chimchar and May's Blaziken:Blaze

and several more. *Tc26* 07:20, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Update?

Just wondering, why hasn't this been updated? It can like the Pokemon infobox template. *tc26* 02:44, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

We should also add Released Pokémon link. It's just recently made. ht14 22:05, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

Manga

This template is getting used for manga Pokémon too... can we either create a new one for that purpose or( easier) put in some kind of switch allowing “episodes” in “This Pokémon spent [#] episodes as [species]” to be replaced with “rounds” for Adventures or “chapters” for other manga? --03:13, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

I'll be updating this for roundycorners later on, but yes, I will take that into account. TTEchidna 03:36, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Update upcoming

See here. Don't touch. I'll do it myself tomorrow afternoon. TTEchidna 08:43, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Or evening. Now what remains is updates for it! Any volunteers can see this category, which currently has 0 pages... TTEchidna 09:00, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
I'll volunteer I'll do it in the afternoon. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 09:18, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

auto categories

you can change the template, so it only make categories on the Page-namespace {{ns:0}} "", so you (the admins) not net to remove the templates. --Hanmac

Issue...

The final sprite of the evolution chains of 3-stage Pokémon such as Green's Charizard and Poli, when image is hovered over, says Venusaur. I tried the thirdstagename parser, but there was no effect... ht14 20:50, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

It seems the same for Platinum's Rapidash as well. --☆Coolピカチュウ! 20:57, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
It's fixed.--RexRacer 21:23, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

In cases like this

Shouldn't the evolution sentence be changed?--ForceFire 12:11, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Man, this is really bugging me. The evolution sentence should have another parameter for fully evolved Pokémon.--ForceFire 08:06, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Agreed. ht14 16:13, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

About the Japanese names

The Japanese names should be written as <Trainer> no <Pokémon> (for example, "Satoshi no Pikachu") rather than partially translating to <Trainer>'s <Pokémon>. --Shiny Noctowl 22:09, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

It isn't "partially translating". "No" is equivalent to an English "'s". --ケンジガール 22:10, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
It's still not the Japanese name if part of the name is in English. --Shiny Noctowl 22:13, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
See your talk page... --ケンジガール 22:14, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Anime Poké Ball

In the case of Ash's Pikachu, should someone create a sprite of a Poké Ball with the lightning bolt and use it? Or, is it ignored seeing as it was the only time seen? Then again, Ash's Tauros and Safari Ball. ht14 15:15, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Think it should be changed. SpecialK Leiks Lucario and The Celebi Glitch 15:18, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
The problem is that we don't have that sprite (I think.) I'll keep checking though. ht14 15:49, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
I have it on my computer somewhere, i'll searchit and if i find it i'll upload. SpecialK Leiks Lucario and The Celebi Glitch 15:58, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

PokéFanon Trainerbox

Um, I believe PokéFanon needs an infobox for Pokemon characters owned by Trainers. I was wondering if I could possibly copy this infobox, and paste it over at PokéFanon. If not, could someone experienced in making Templates come over there and help out?--Black Yin Zekrom 05:06, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Nope. Nope. TTEchidna 05:18, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Ah, well too bad. Anyone else willing to help?--Black Yin Zekrom 05:26, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

Blank boxes

I think there should be an extra spot in there for single pokémon based notes, so that the title and its descriptor would both be able to be changed to anything. I ask this specifically for Meowth, I think we should state his Trainer Class as a Gym Leader (with an asterisk that states it was a temporary position of course). I'm sure there are other pokémon out there that could use this for something too... felinoel 10:57, 22 November 2010 (UTC)

Most Recent Appearance/Last Appearance

Especially needed for Pokemon no longer part of the main cast, this needs to be listed, preferably nex to Current location or Debuts in, can someone add it to the template? XVuvuzela2010X 20:33, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

Problem after being translated

Hey guys, this template is translated into my language but.. there is problem plural.

# 0 1 2-4 5 and more
English episodes episode episodes episodes
Polish odcinków odcinek odcinki odcinków

As you see, it's not so simple like in English... Any idea how to "fix" it? Marked +-+-+ 07:15, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Pokémon Special

Alright, so apparently according to the end of the 13th volume, all Gym Leaders use Great Balls for their Pokémon and Elite Four use Ultra Balls for theirs. Should we manually add that fact in each of the articles such as Lt. Surge's Raichu and Jasmine's Steelix or what? ht14 22:21, 2 December 2011 (UTC)

In addition to what Ht14 said, can a "debut round" section be added to those Pokémon that appear both in the anime and in the manga? |) u |( e ® 17:21, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Link to species

I think that a link to the Pokémon's species should be added to the template to make it easier to get more information about the species of Pokémon instead of just the one character. -EVsandIVsaurs 00:38, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

About episodes that focus on the status of a Pokémon

I've noticed that there's no indication for what episode a Pokémon began their training or when they were given (not traded) to another trainer. Shouldn't there be an indication to this? ?8 (talk) 23:02, 21 January 2014 (UTC)

Ability

Is it possible to make secondability for the ones which have a second Ability due to evolution? Raymond 09:21, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
