Team Rocket's Meowth (Japanese: ロケット団のニャース Rocket Gang's Nyarth) is a Colorless-type Basic Pokémon card. It is one of the Wizards Black Star Promos.

Release information

This card was released as a promotional card. The English version of the card was available through the Pokémon League in August 2000. In the United Kingdom, it was made available to people who visited the special Pokémon exhibition at the Millennium Dome in September 2000. In Japan, it came with the Meowth's Party CD. The Japanese version of this card features the Pikachu Records logo in place of an Expansion symbol.

Trivia

Fittingly, the illustrator is the executive director of the Pokémon anime.

Origin

This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Yellow, though it is slightly reworded. This card is based on Meowth of Team Rocket, partner to both Jessie and James.
