The Zangoose's gender still isn't set in stone until it has been snagged, right? So if a player were to defeat it accidentally, instead of snagging it, Miror B. could show up later on with a Shadow Zangoose of a different gender... right? TTEchidna 07:54, 11 June 2010 (UTC)

Hold on, I think you misread the trivia. If the gender were set in stone upon being snagged, then the trivia wouldn't be notable because that trait would exist with every shadow Pokémon there is in both Colosseum and XD: Gale of Darkness, regardless of how it gets rematched. However, it's very well known that once the gender of a shadow Pokémon is recorded in the Snag List, it's set in stone. That point comes when a Pokémon is sent out into battle against the protagonist, which in this video is at 7:32. If you look at 6:25 in the same video, you'll see that the gender of the same Zangoose is different than later at 7:32; however, it's not locked in at 6:25 due to the opponent being Biden, proving the gender-bending trivia as it's written now.
Trust me, I know for a fact that the gender's set in stone upon being recorded in the Snag List because there are advantages to this method of locking in the gender. I've exploited this myself against Ardos multiple times, usually going into the first go-round with only around PokémonDollar.png7 to my name, to ensure snagging both Snorlax and Electabuzz as female (those two Pokémon have combined male-female gender ratios of 162.5-37.5, meaning it's very difficult to get them both female without doing some exploitation). (I often use the exploit for Swellow as well, but since Swellow's gender ratio is 50-50, I didn't mention Swellow before.) If gender locking in depended on being snagged, it would be even tougher to get both Snorlax and Electabuzz as female since then the genders would be determined at random every time, be it Ardos or Miror B. wielding, instead of just the time it gets recorded in the Snag List; it would be even tougher still if you wanted Swellow a certain gender as well.
I hope this cleared things up. --Shiningpikablu252 19:43, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
Ok...Um...I don't know if it was the fact that this whole comment was a TL;DR or what...But this makes no sense...like at all...You just rambled on about stuff...Can't you just say what you mean in like one to two sentences and not some huge paragraph...You just make things more confusing...D:--Psyライダー 20:08, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
