In my experience playing online battles, using Tera Blast when NOT terastallized is always a Normal-type special move. However the game sometimes marks it as super effective? Not sure the logic behind that. Hero231 (talk) 08:08, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

I was doing some Chansey farming and decided to give my Staraptor Tera Blast for a strong normal physical attack. When I used it, my Staraptor's Attack stat was far higher than its Special Attack, yet it only did about 1/5th damage to Chansey. I followed it up with an Aerial Ace, which was an easy OHKO. It seems like the damage formula may use the opposing Pokemon's Special Defense stat even if it uses the user's Attack stat. This would need further testing, and perhaps a Pokemon that is terastalized would use a different equation. Kaonohiokala (talk) 07:58, 22 December 2022 (UTC)

Something I was curious about was the interaction between terastallized Tera Blast and Pixilate. Tera Blast says the move will become your tera type, and Pixilate makes all Normal type moves Fairy type. So, what happens if Pixilate Sylveon terastallizes into the Normal type and uses Tera Blast? Will it be Normal or Fairy type? The answer is the tera type takes priority, and as such the move is Normal type. My test. IAmAnIssue (talk) 08:30, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

While I was having a look around X, I noticed that in the new trailer for Teal Disk, there is a new Terra Type, and apparently Terra Blast also shifts to that type. Could this be the equivalent of the Legend Plate from Legends: Arceus? LatiusAuro (talk) 11:18, 13 August 2023 (UTC)

Looks like Terapagos's Tera. I doubt anyone else will be able to use it, kind of like Ogerpon's.Dr. Victor Vasconcelos (talk) 22:56, 10 December 2023 (UTC)
