I was feeling bored, so I looked through Serebii.net's archived news. I was looking at all the RS "new Pokemon" news. I noticed, in the battling screens, the Pokemon had different sprites, as well as the battle scene was different.--Gou 17:12, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
Theres videos of it on youtube, and i'm pretty sure it's in Red and Blue version too. Its a sprite of a fat man, the sumo guy from Quinty. He's put into the data of the pokemon games. Could we have some info on that in here? CherryParanoia 20:12, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Do you know what it is called?

In some photos, Pokémart roofs are colored red instead of blue, and is referred as "shop" instead of "mart" on the front.
I thought all of the Poké Marts said "Shop" in the Japanese versions? I have a copy of JP Red and they all say "SHOP" (in English) on the signs. So while the red roof bit is interesting, I think the "Shop" part is just a JP/NA difference and doesn't really need to be mentioned in this article (imho). Zesty Cactus 01:58, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

According to the Pokémon Doll article, there is coding in the games for dolls of the Regi Trio, however plans did not pan out thus there is no way to obtain them in game sans cheating. Should we mention them in the article? --Bardock 13:57, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Some beta screenshots?
I happened to find (what I believe to be) some beta screenshots here, which are probably either routes that didn't make it into the final game, or early versions of existing routes. The first screenshot looks remotely like Route 123, with the general tree formation, ledges, and water in the top-right, although Route 123 as we know it doesn't have any ponds, or have that exact layout. The second screenshot looks like an early Dewford Town, considering it's by the beach with water to the north, although the final version is filled with trees. The final screenshot, with the bridge over the water and the player's shadow, remotely resembles Route 120, although otherwise it is much different, since Route 120 isn't mountainous at all. I actually remember these screenshots before R/S was released (I have a fairly good photographic memory), and I remember that shortly after I got Ruby, I looked at them and I said to myself that these screenshots don't look familiar one bit. So, unless someone can prove that these are places in the final game, should these belong here? --Blaziken257 02:27, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Endo on the bike
I was...'digging' through the overworld sprites, and certain bike sprites show the rider and bike doing a wheelie, 'jump,' and finally, an endo. DB 04:34, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

No Mention of it...
There’s also one other thing that I find kind of weird, and while I don’t have the proof of pics on me to show here, I don’t think it’s that hard to find it otherwise. Fortunately, Google doesn’t currently hate me and I’ve found a link to a picture someone else posted of the same critter.

A note on the Ruby Debug version
Obviously this isn't worth mentioning in the article, but it might be of interest to someone so I'll mention it here.
- Some quick background info: I've temporarily come into possession of a German Emerald version and want to make the most of it while I can since there's a lot of Pokemon I can't get between my Sapphire and LeafGreen. In Gens I & II I know you could change a nickname back to the species name before trading and it would be able to get the new species name when it evolved, so I figured I'd do that before trading between my English games and our exchange student's German game. That's a no-go apparently, but I hadn't checked the trade article beforehand.
- I'm left wondering whether Pokemon which share the same name between languages such as Abra/Kadabra would change names if they evolved in a different language version. I figured I'd test it on the computer since that way I don't have to mess with my carts. I loaded up the German debug version of Ruby and a regular copy (each with their own unique save states.) I caught an Abra in the English version, but the German game isn't very far along, so I decided to just use the 'Create PKMN' debug menu to create a Pokemon to trade rather than catch something that the other game already has. I made a level 5 Yanma, nothing fancy. The reason I'm posting this is, the Yanma I created has the same Trainer ID and Special ID as the other Pokemon captured normally, but the OT name is 'Debug-G' and has a fateful encounter flag by default. It also gains boosted experience in battle (in the German game where I generated it) but I don't know if this might be related to the fateful encounter flag or having a different OT name than my player character.
- There's also a bunch of symbols that show up on the screen during the confirmation dialog before you enter the cable club room, but I know that has been seen to appear in other areas when using the debug menus.

This text is actually used for a little-known feature. If you deposit a Pokémon holding Mail into the Day Care and then mix records, the Mail can be transferred to a Pokémon in another game’s Day Care, and the Day-Care Man there will tell you about it. —Háčky (talk) 22:44, 20 September 2015 (UTC)
