The nature of Poison Gas

Is there any special reason why Drowzee and Hypno can learn this? As far as I know, it has been speculated that this is some kind of fart that the Pokémon can perform. I don't know much about tapirs, but I've heard they're supposed to be unhygienic (like swines) and are able to burp out loud. --Johans 21:00, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

Well, Stunky and Skuntank learn it, if that means anything... TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 21:39, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Drowzee learns it because of how its nose is, and Hypno learns it because it evolves from Drowzee. Baby G 23:47, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
That makes no sense.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 01:05, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Just look at Drowzee's nose. Baby G 01:11, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Does there have to be a reason? I mean, why can Gastly learn Fire Punch through breeding, despite having little to do with fire and no hands to speak of? --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh)) 01:23, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
...Drowsee's nose? So tapirs can breathe poison gas now? (Martonimos, it's not the lack of a reason, it's that...he made up a bad one.)--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 02:58, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
I think it comes out of the other end... TTEchidna 04:17, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Has to

A cloud of poison gas is sprayed in the foe's face. It may poison the target.

It's not that it may poison the target. It will!

Look, go tell Nintendo. The descriptions in the infoboxes are pulled right from the games.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 02:40, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
It may poison the target... if it can hit the target. Technically, it's not wrong. --ケンジガール 02:47, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
