Today, 2/20/11, the name "Dageki" for Sawk is not 100% sure because the video part in which it is shown is an english picture of the game, and also the name was in capitals. Thanks.

En date du 20 février 2011, le nom "Dageki" pour Sawk n'est pas sûr à 100% car le passage de la vidéo où le nom est montré est une image anglophone du jeu, et surtout il est écrit en lettres capitales. Merci. --Qulbu 18:04, 20 February 2011 (UTC)

French names of 5th Generation

Pluralization?

I know the English names generally subscribe to the Japanese rule of non-pluralization, but does this apply to French as well? For example, would two Zubat be called Nosferapti or Nosferaptis? Are two Geodude called Racaillou or Racailloux? Rickie-d 19:43, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Sections

Is there any particular reason the list is cut up into chunks of 50 Pokémon each? Wouldn't it be easier to just divide by generation or not at all? griffindaly (talk) 14:31, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

Merge Western languages... (otherwise Spanish and Italian are "missing")

I made a List of Pokémon names in Western languages (it could be "List of Western Pokémon names" instead, but I was fixed on "List of X in other languages"...). Currently, there are pages for French (this page) and German Pokemon names, but none for Spanish or Italian names. At first blush, that omission is very odd.

It turns out Spanish and Italian names are all the same as English names, so that's probably why they don't have their own page. But it's still a bit problematic that they're not even acknowledged. As a solution, then, I'd suggest just merging all of the Western Pokemon names to be on one page (like the page I made...). That way, we can either just link "Western" Pokemon names, or we can link "French", "German", "Spanish", and "Italian" and each of those can link to the Western names page (or that whole list of languages can be one big link to it). I'd say we'd redirect the Spanish/Italian ones to the English one. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 23:07, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
That could sort of work. You'd be missing the Eggs section, though.
But half the point is, why are they even separate? Other Pages in other languages have all the languages on the same page. Putting the languages on different pages just makes for repetition of a large part of the table. (And it might still be okay to throw in the Japanese and Korean names/romanizations too if we pick just one of the Korean romanizations. The Chinese names might still be best on their own page, though.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:26, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
