Can someone please add a link to the episode she appeared in?

It is a cardinal rule of the fandom that Anime =/= Games, so I find it very unlikely that a Bellsprout in the first season of the Anime inspired the Lightningrod ability in the third generation of games. The anime is much more likely illustrating the Grass-type's resistance to electric attacks. This is given more weight by Jeanette's explanation during the very scene in the episode, and by the fact that Bellsprout did not actually draw the lightning towards itself. Still an interesting piece of trivia. Remember, Grass-types may be resistant, but Pikachu had no effect at all on the Bellsprout. Which isn't really the case with Lightningrod, but hey, Blastoise's Rain Dance Pokémon Power preceded the move... TTEchidna 20:08, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
