Sketch and Exclusivity
Firstly, can Sketch copy this move? The text implies that no Pokémon other than Hoopa Unbound will be able to successfully execute it, but can it be Sketched, or is it like Chatter, which can't?
Regardless of whether or not it can actually be copied by Sketch, it should be noted in this move's trivia that it is one of three true signature moves (the others being Chatter and Sketch). Chatter's article contains a bit of trivia reflecting this, and I think that Hyperspace Fury is a definite candidate for that factoid as well. Black Hole Eclipse
Does its absolute exclusivity to Hoopa Unbound extend to upgrading it into Black Hole Eclipse? That is to say, could a Hoopa Confined or a Smeargle with Hyperspace Hole successfully pull off a Black Hole Eclipse that uses Hyperspace Fury as the base move? - unsigned comment from Missingno. - Since in most (all?) other instances, Z-Moves are considered entirely different from their base moves, I would imagine other Pokemon could probably upgrade it to Black Hole Eclipse. Someone should test it, though. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 07:02, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
Non Hoopa Unbound users in generation 9
Can Pokémon other than Hoopa Unbound use the move in Generation 9, now that Hoopa Confined cannot learn the move? If not, does it still have a special message for Hoopa Confined failing to use it? Dracopium Meteor (talk) 12:48, 4 May 2023 (UTC)
