Talk:Eon Ticket (e-Card)

From Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia.
Jump to: navigation, search

This article should be named "Eon Ticket (e-Card)"—it's because of techincal limitations that it's called "Eon Ticket (e Card)". So, it should be marked as such.

However, I'm having trouble doing so. Looking at the Wikipedia (example at the Ctrl+Alt+Del article), the way to mark that the title is incorrect is by putting the following at the top of the article:

{{wrongtitle|title=Eon Ticket (e-Card)}}

: ''This article is about Eon Ticket (e-Card). For the item, see [[Eon Ticket|Eon Ticket (main
article)]] and [[Items#Eon Ticket|Eon Ticket (in the Items article)]].''

However, when I preview this, it looks like this:

The title of this article is incorrect because of technical limitations. The correct title is wrongtitle.
This article is about Eon Ticket (e-Card). For the item, see Eon Ticket (main article) and Eon Ticket (in the Items article).

So, what's wrong? Why does it say "The title of this article is incorrect because of technical limitations. The correct title is {{{1}}}." instead of "The title of this article is incorrect because of technical limitations. The correct title is Eon Ticket (e-Card)." like it's supposed to? -Myuu151

Well, either write

{{wrongtitle|1=Eon Ticket (e-Card)}}

(instead of title=) or edit Template:Wrongtiltle like this:

:''The title of this article is incorrect because of technical limitations. The correct title is '''{{{title}}}'''''.

(instead of {{{1}}}) --nYoo 20:08, 8 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Oh and btw it's not because of technical limitations "e Card". You could change it to (e-Card) without any problems. But then you would have to rename all the other things like Template:e Cards and I don't think "e-Card" is more correct than "e Card".--nYoo 20:12, 8 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Thanks. I edited Template:Wrongtitle. And, not to be technical (but that's what an encyclopedia is about, I guess...), but I'm pretty sure that "e-Card" is the correct way to say it, like in various pages of NOA's website. And, the sets are called things like Animal Crossing e-Cards...Whatever, though. - Myuu151

Use

{{wrongtitle|Eon Ticket (e-Card)}}

and don't change templates without fixing the pages that use those templates. - Jshadias 21:18, 8 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Okay. Sorry, will remember next time. -Myuu151

What wrong title? -s work fine. +s do not, however. - 振霖T 03:38, 9 Aug 2005 (CDT)

It says NOWHERE "e-Card". Show me an official page where it says that! The only "-" I saw was in "Pokémon Battle-e Cards"! Same for Animal Crossing, as you can clearly see here! So stop writing BS or really prove it! --nYoo 18:01, 9 Aug 2005 (CDT)

Merge

Seperate Eon Ticket and Eon Ticket (e-Card) are stubs. --Wildgoosespeeder 08:25, 7 November 2011 (UTC)

I'm down to have them merged. It's a little confusing to have them separate. :V --ZestyCactus 20:33, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
+1. They seem to show abut the same info, anyways. --Mathfreak231 (talk) 21:27, 3 March 2013 (UTC)
It's been two years, can this get merged now? Glik (talk) 19:19, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
