cmon, really?? do we really need this?? -- MAGNEDETH 01:53, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Lucian has Bronzong whose page is about the same length. Don't you want to give Aaron something as well? tc26 01:54, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
maybe well just have to get rid of Lucian's Bronzong as well. -- MAGNEDETH 01:58, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
If that's the case, they'd already have deleted it months ago...but they didn't. tc26 02:01, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
true. but im still not so sure about all these pages. -- MAGNEDETH 02:03, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
In my opinion, if all the Pokémon cards can have their own pages than whats the big deal about some anime characters having pages for one of their Pokémon? --ケンジガール 02:05, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
Actually, your card equivalent is each and every CoD, which I don't aren't all notable. Think of a different example, cause cards don't work. MaverickNate 02:08, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
With anime, we do have some restrictions on what we can make such as pages on a Pokémon of the day. With cards there are no restrictions which I don't find fair. And personally, I don't feel all cards are notable. That's what Pokébeach is for. Why can't a deck share one page or two? Letting one Pokémon that belongs to someone of importance have its own page isn't that big of a deal when compared to how many pages we have on Pokémon cards. Too much of Bulbapedia is dedicated to cards. Every time I click the Random page button, one out of five times it's a card. --ケンジガール 02:53, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
There would be no way to decide which card is notable over another. What would we do, get rid of an entire set because "There are just too many"? Deciding which cards would be notable would be one of the least fair things that we could do. And we do have certain restrictions. To name one, we don't make seperate pages for reprints. Plus, saying that PokéBeach could replace us for cards is such an insult. They rarely deal with anything but english cards; we have so much more information than them and saying that PokéBeach could replace us just shows how biased we can be. But, I don't think fighting about which is better: TCG or anime will get us anywhere. I think this article should stay. MaverickNate 03:01, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Game

Should its DP counterpart be mentioned? YinYang 23:16, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Why this?

If this warrants a page, then why does Flint's Infernape not have its own page? It appeared in more episodes and did more notable things. Dilophosaurus Rex 21:10, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

I've made a page for Flint's Infernape, both pages are notable. My page will eventually be mainspaced Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 21:28, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Unfair

Hey guys, this is very unfair! I mean,Aaron's Beautifly has it own page, but then,we can't create one for Lucian's Bronzong,Agatha's Gengar (mainly from Pokémon Adventures) and Flannery's Torokoal, that are probably as notable as this! - unsigned comment from Ishlishl (talkcontribs)

...

This page really isn't needed, seeing as Aaron's Beautifly isn't even that notable in the first place. --The Truth aka Relicant 16:09, 12 September 2013 (UTC)

Agreed. Human COTDs get articles, but the policy is that Pokemon COTDs don't, and by all measures, this appears to be a Pokemon COTD with a couple of cameos in later episodes. It's not even significant enough to have appeared in the manga, TCG, or Platinum. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:07, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
Why can't this page just be auto-deleted? Georgia's Bisharp had more appearances and personality than this Pokémon yet it's not allowed an article. --The Truth aka Relicant 14:32, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
Please refrain from bringing your personal objections about other pages into an unrelated discussion. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 15:31, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
I didn't. I was using Georgia's Bisharp as an example. Would you have liked me to have used Paul's Weavile instead? --The Truth aka Relicant 15:35, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Merge

I probably broke a rule but whatever. I'm in favour of this article being merged (or whatever) with Aaron's article because really, this Pokémon really isn't that important and this article's existance is the epitome of a Georgia's Bisharp scenario. --The Truth aka Relicant 16:48, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

As you can see from the history when Maverick Nate removed the discussdelete template, the admins decided very recently that it's worth keeping. Here's the forum link; I linked to the first relevant post, and there are more below it. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:32, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
By that logic, Paul's Weavile should have an article. It's more notable than Aaron's Beautifly will ever be.--The Truth aka Relicant 17:34, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
Logic or not, the admins' word rules. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:37, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
So I'm allowed to make the Paul's Weavile article, and the Georgia's Bisharp article, and articles for every other Pokémon belongong to a CoTD? --The Truth aka Relicant 17:40, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
No. You know very well the admins have said no to those just like they said yes to this. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:48, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
But there is literally no difference in notability between Aaron's Beautifly and any Pokémon I listed above.--The Truth aka Relicant 17:50, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
That's not your judgment call to make. (Also, Aaron's Beautifly appeared in both the anime and games, which makes it automatically more notable than any anime-only Pokemon like the two you listed. Only slightly more, but more nonetheless.) Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:30, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
So, this means every Pokémon that's made an appearance in both the anime and games notable? Makes sense. btw arguing is geting us nowhere. --The Truth aka Relicant 18:54, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
If it's not obvious by now, anime Pokémon notability is judged on a case by case basis. This isn't one of those things where "such and such should get an article because such and such did." They should be looked at and discussed on an individual basis, not because another Pokémon got an article. --Pokemaster97 18:59, 27 November 2013 (UTC)
