The user releases an obscuring cloud of smoke or ink. It reduces the foe's accuracy.

SmokeScreen (Japanese: えんまく Smokescreen) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

SmokeScreen lowers the target's Accuracy stat by one stage. SmokeScreen will do nothing if the target's Accuracy stage is at -6, and will fail if the target has a Substitute or is under the effect of Mist.
