MasumiShipping is the belief in a romantic relationship between Misty and Max. It is well-established that Misty likes "younger men", and this is a slightly amusing look at how young she would go.
The only real evidence for this ship throughout Hoenn can be found in Max's reaction to Misty when she briefly travels to Hoenn. He appears to admire Misty and quickly picks up her habit of pulling Brock away from girls, albeit by pulling on his arm.
However, in A Real Cleffa-Hanger, Max and Misty are seperated from the rest of the group. During this time, they had a bonding moment through discovering common ground, namely their annoying older sisters.
What is most interesting is that Misty's return at the end of Hoenn appears to have more of MasumiShipping than the two popular Misty ships - PokéShipping and OrangeShipping.
