KenshiShipping (Japanese: Kenshi) is the supposed romantic relationship between Ash Ketchum and Tracey Sketchit.

Ash met Tracey when he accidently arrived on Tangelo Island in the Orange Islands. After hearing that Ash and Misty knew Professor Oak, he decided to invite himself in their group so that he could meet his idol.

Ash's hints

• In The Joy of Pokémon, Tracey decides to go after Nurse Joy after she paddled out into a hurricane. A short while later, Ash decides to go after him.
• In Tracey Gets Bugged, Ash gives Tracey advice on how to make Scyther feel better.
• In The Rivalry Revival, Ash states that he will miss Tracey not traveling with him anymore the night before he left to Johto.

Tracey's hints

• In In the Pink, Ash gets a Rhyhorn angry and it knocks him in the air sending him flying next to Tracey. Tracey then picks up Ash and gets him to his feet to he can run away.
• In Tracey Gets Bugged, Tracey tries to mimic Ash's victory pose after capturing Scyther.
• In Bound for Trouble, Tracey uses Marill to help look for Pikachu when it gets lost.
• In The Power of One, Tracey helps Misty rescue Ash from the freezing water and then carries him on to shore. When Ash tries to stand up a short while later, he stumbles but Tracey catches him.
• In The Rivalry Revival, Tracey battles Team Rocket single-handily in order to rescue Ash's Pikachu.

• Up until Dawn's capture of her Pachirisu, Tracey was they only character besides Ash to own a member of the so-called Pikachu family; Marill.
• Ash and Tracey are the only main characters to be given official surnames in the dub.
