It evolves into Nuzleaf starting at level 14, which evolves into Shiftry when exposed to a Leaf Stone.
Biology
Physiology
Seedot is a small brown creature with a gray-colored 'cap' that greatly resembles an acorn, so much so that it can easily startle Pokémon looking for food on the forest floor. It can stick onto trees with the top of its cap, and has a beige colored, mask-like patterning on its face with two beige feet for moving about.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Seedot's size makes it capable of very little, however, it is able to learn Explosion.
Behavior
As it looks like an acorn, it can startle other Pokémon by suddenly moving and enjoys scaring them, especially foraging Pidgey. Seedot polishes its body once a day using leaves.
Habitat
Seedot live in dense forests. Sometimes they hang from tree branches.
Diet
- Main article: Pokémon food

Trivia
- Together with Rattata, Magikarp, and Pichu, Seedot is the easiest Pokémon to catch in Pokémon Ranger, with only one loop necessary.
- The only move with set base power that Seedot can learn by level up is Explosion.
- It also doesn't learn any STAB moves by leveling up, not counting Nature Power, which only gets STAB when used in certain locations.
- Seedot can be seen as a parallel to Lotad. Both of them are Grass-type Generation III Pokémon and are part of a three-stage evolutionary line, who evolve into their evolved forms at or above level 14, and whose second evolutionary event utilizes a Evolutionary stone. Seedot is exclusive to Pokémon Ruby, while Lotad is exclusive Pokémon Sapphire, with both Pokémon found in the same locations in their respective versions. Additionally, both Pokémon can be found in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum by using the Dual-slot mode, with Seedot requiring Pokémon Ruby, and Lotad requiring Pokémon Sapphire. Both can also be found in the White Forest in Pokémon White, and both have the same base stat total, with both having equal stats arranged differently.
Origin
Seedot appears to be based on an acorn.
Name origin
Seedot's name may be a combination of seed and dot, or perhaps tot, referring to its small size.
Taneboh is based on 種 tane, seed, and 赤ん坊 akanbō, baby, or 帽子 bōshi, hat.
