Release information

This Tretta was awarded as a participation prize at the Super! Mega Evolution Battle event held at the 41st Next Generation World Hobby Fair during winter 2015. The World Hobby Fair took place at the Nagoya Dome, Nagoya on January 18, 2015; at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on January 24 and 25, 2015; at the Fukuoka Yahuoku! Japan Dome, Fukuoka on February 1, 2015; and at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, Osaka on February 8, 2015. It was awarded again in the same manner at several later events. Details of these events are as follows:

  • At participating Pokémon Centers on the weekends of March 14 and 15, 2015 and March 21 and 22, 2015.
  • At Yomiuriland Nittere Ranran Hall, Tokyo on March 21 and 22, 2015.
  • At LALA Garden Tsukuba, Ibaraki on March 22, 2015.
  • At Space World, Kitakyushu on April 4, 2015.
  • At the Makomanai Ice Arena, Sapporo on April 11 and 12, 2015.
  • At three venues hosting the Pokémon Trading Card Game Rayquaza Mega Battle: Nagoya Trade & Industry Center, Nagoya on May 5, 2015; at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on May 9 and 10, 2015; and at Intex Osaka, Osaka on May 31, 2015.
  • At participating stores nationwide in Japan on the weekends of July 4 and 5, 2015 and July 11 and 12, 2015.

Unlike previous challenge events, which featured a number of possible teams, the Super! Mega Evolution Battle only featured one, comprising Primal Kyogre, Primal Groudon, and Mega Rayquaza. Players who managed to fill the Catch Gauge of any one Pokémon were awarded either a Primal Kyogre or a Primal Groudon Tretta at random. Players who did not manage to defeat any Pokémon at these events were awarded this Tretta as a consolation prize, though players who managed to fill the Catch Gauge of all three opposing Pokémon were awarded this Tretta in addition to the random victory prize. A Rayquaza Tretta was added to the available prizes from events held during the Rayquaza Mega Battle. Participants with the top 10 highest scores in all subsequent events following the World Hobby Fair were also awarded a certificate. A different certificate was awarded at events held during the Rayquaza Mega Battle.

This Tretta was available again as part of the Trophy Pokemon Torretta Present Campaign, which took place at participating Pokémon Centers and Pokémon Stores across Japan on December 12, 13, 19, 20, 23, 26 and 27, 2015. Visitors who played at least 1 game of Pokémon Tretta or purchased 1 eligible item of Pokémon Tretta merchandise were given 1 of 6 Trophy Tretta at random.
