Trivia
- The trainer's face displayed in the leader's box on this card is that of Vicious. This is the only Team Rocket card in the VS set that does this; other Team Rocket cards in the set picture a male Team Rocket Grunt in the leader's box.
- Ironically, this is the only card where Vicious's face is displayed in the leader's box on a Japanese card that wasn't released in English. The other two released cards with Vicious's face in the leader's box, Rocket's Scizor and Rocket's Sneasel from the "P" Promotional cards series, appeared in English as part of the Best of Game promotional series, though not with the leader's box on it.
Origin
- Hyper Beam is a move that Tyranitar can learn in the Pokémon games. Slam is also a move in the Pokémon games, but Tyranitar can not learn it.
- Vicious captured a Tyranitar in a Dark Ball during Pokémon 4Ever.
