Release information
This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 and Legendary Collection reprint sets, which were only released outside of Japan. This card was also reprinted in the VS (Japan only), Expedition Base Set, EX Ruby & Sapphire, EX FireRed & LeafGreen, EX Unseen Forces, EX Crystal Guardians, Diamond & Pearl, and Secret Wonders sets. Expedition added a clause at the end of the sentence reading "(1 if that Pokémon has only 1)"; that clause was then reworded to "remove 1 damage counter if that Pokémon has only 1" for EX Ruby & Sapphire. Art for this card has changed a few times, first for Expedition by the same artist, then for EX Unseen Forces by a new artist.

- Interestingly, more recent artwork depicts the Potion as being vastly different in appearance from the in-game sprite, which is itself based on the appearance of the original card.
