Card text
| Attach PlusPower to your Active Pokémon. At the end of your turn, discard PlusPower. If this Pokémon's attack does damage to the Defending Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance), the attack does 10 more damage to the Defending Pokémon. |
Release information
This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan. It was also reprinted with new artwork in Diamond & Pearl and Secret Wonders. The later print was reworded as follows:
| Attach PlusPower to 1 of your Pokémon. Discard this card at the end of your turn.
If the Pokémon PlusPower is attached to attacks, the attack does 10 more damage to the Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). |
There's a key difference between the two prints: the original print applied the effect after applying Weakness and Resistance, while the later print applied the effect before applying Weakness and Resistance.
Trivia
Origin
PlusPower is the Japanese name of X Attack, an item in the Pokémon games. The Japanese name of the item was either used for the English card by mistake, or used intentionally as 'PlusPower' is inscribed on the side of the object in the card's artwork.
