This card was released in the English Jungle expansion, originating from the Japanese Pokémon Jungle expansion. It was later reprinted in the English Base Set 2 expansion.
Trivia
Although this Pokémon is level 25, Meowth does not evolve into Persian until level 28.
Origin
Scratch is a move in the Pokémon games that Persian can learn. Pounce's Japanese name is that of Bite, which is also a move Persian can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
