Eevee... Pokémon Genius! (Japanese: 天才ポケモン イーブイくん, The Genius Pokémon Eievui-kun), is the third chapter of the second volume of Magical Pokémon Journey.
Synopsis
As Hazel and Grandpa are talking, a strange girl walks in the room with her Pokémon, Eevee, and Almond. This girl reveals herself as Coconut, Grandpa's biological granddaughter. Hazel and Coconut begin to argue about whom should be with Almond, leading Coconut to set a challenge. They decide that they will both get chocolates for Almond - and the first girl he gives candy to in return will be the one who gets to "keep him".
Later, Hazel worries that Coconut might try to sneak a love potion into the chocolate she gives Almond. She asks Pikachu and Clefairy to spy on her and report back anything they see.
Meanwhile, at Grandpa's house, Coconut is indeed trying to concoct a love potion. However, she constantly makes mistakes, causing many small fires and explosions. After destroying the laboratory, she ends up giving Almond store-bought chocolates instead. Before he can receive them, however, Squirtle intercepts and eats them instead.
