Officer Jenny's Manectric (Japanese: ジュンサーライボルト Junsar's Livolt) is a Pokémon owned by many Officer Jennys in the Kalos region in the Pokémon anime.

History

Officer Jenny in the Kalos region tend to use Manectric, due to Growlithe and Herdier not being native to the Kalos region.

Officer Jenny's Manectric first appeared in Grooming Furfrou!, where it was sent out to battle James's Inkay, but was defeated by his Ink Spray technique. Inkay was eventually defeated by Pikachu.

Manectric appeared again in To Catch a Pokémon Smuggler!; it and Officer Jenny chased after a smuggler named Dolan, who had stolen a bunch of Scatterbug and Spewpa. One of the Scatterbug fell out of Dolan's car and when Ash took it to a Pokémon Center, Officer Jenny roped Ash, assuming he was working for Dolan. Clemont cleared the whole situation by saying that the group just wanted to help her in stopping Dolan. Officer Jenny, Ash, and his friends then worked together to track the smuggler. As Ash went to an abandoned laboratory and battled Dolan, Officer Jenny and Manectric appeared, battled Dolan and his Diggersby and arrested the smuggler.

Manectric appeared in A Campus Reunion!, where it inspected the electric systems under the academy alongside Officer Jenny.

Manectric appeared again in Facing The Grand Design!. Officer Jenny sent it out to prevent the crystals, that had been created by the scientists who had fallen under Malamar's hypnotic influence, from distorting the world; it used Thunder to help destroy them. After stopping the three evil Malamar's plan for the second time, Officer Jenny attempted to arrest them, but the antagonistic Malamar escaped by going into the merged crystals.

Manectric reappeared in A Full-Strength Battle Surprise!, where it was inspecting a forest area with Officer Jenny and a group of people. They were, however, forced to retreat, due to an attack by large vines mutated by Team Flare. Manectric began charging electricity in retaliation, but stopped when the bizarre event stopped.

Personality and characteristics

Manectric is quite strong and Officer Jenny has great trust in her Manectric. This was best demonstrated when she called it out in Facing The Grand Design! to destroy Malamar's crystals, which it did with just one Thunder. Manectric is also quick in action and caring of its Trainer as is evident when it decided to battle the giant mutated vines attacking its Trainer and the wild Pokémon on its own without being commanded.
