Trivia

  • Wizards of the Coast ran a competition to illustrate a Pokémon card. The winning entry by Christopher Rush replaced the Japanese artwork, originally done by Ken Sugimori. The explanation behind this was to probably ease confusion that may have arisen due to the similarity of the Japanese artwork of this card to that of the first promo Mewtwo, as both are modified from Sugimori's Generation I stock art.
  • The Mewtwo included in the "Pokémon Best Collection" CD has the Pikachu Records logo in place of an Expansion symbol.

Origin

This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded.
