Meet the Pokémon is a Pokémon guide book for beginning readers. It includes details on various aspects of the Pokémon world, in a basic format as it is for beginning readers. It was written by Michael Teitelbaum and published by BradyGames (under the "DK Readers" imprint) in 2008. It is 32 pages in length.
The book details a variety of Pokémon subjects, such as the Pokémon species themselves, the Pokémon world, and things that are encountered in a Pokémon Trainer's journey such as Gyms and the Poké Ball. It describes various Sinnoh Pokémon, details of Pokémon battling, and places where Pokémon may be found, such as tall grass. Additionally, it details the relationship Trainers such as Ash have with their Pokémon.

- At one point, the book describes Turtwig as being made from soil. Although it is true that Turtwig’s shell is made of soil and it is possible that this was the statement intended, Turtwig are not actually made of soil.
- It states that Glalie evolves into Froslass. Both Pokémon actually evolve from Snorunt. Glalie evolves from Snorunt at level 42, and Frosslass evolves from female Snorunt when exposed to a Dawn Stone.
