Release information

In Japan, this card was one of five that could be obtained through the Communication Evolution campaign, which began in April 1999. Participants had to send a Machoke card along with Bill's PC in the mail to MediaFactory. MediaFactory would then send back the 'evolved' form. It was later reprinted in Pokémon Web. The English version of the card was available through the Pokémon League in February 2002.

Trivia

  • Although the vending machine cards were all printed on glossy card stock, the Masaki promos were all printed on regular card stock.

Origin

Fling is a move in the Pokémon games that appeared in Generation IV, after it had appeared on the card. Machamp can learn it via TM56. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue.
