Release information
This card was also released as a promotional card with different artwork by Atsuko Nishida. In Japan, it came with the August 1998 issue of CoroCoro comic. This variant card was never released in English.
Trivia
- While Lt. Surge didn't use an Electabuzz in any of the games released prior to this card, he later used one when battled for the Thunder Badge in Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal.
Origin
A move named Charge was later introduced in Generation III, though Electabuzz cannot learn it. Also, the Japanese name of this card's attack is different from that of the move in the Pokémon games, meaning this move and the one on the card are unrelated.
