Trivia
Guiding Flame's Japanese name; むかえび mukaebi, is a flame lit to welcome spirits of the deceased. It is lit as part of the Obon Festival. The Japanese name for Fire Blast, daimonji, is also a tradition observed as part of the festival.
Origin
Fire Blast is a move in the Pokémon games. Ninetales previously required a TM to learn it, but as of Generation IV, it can now learn it by level-up as a Vulpix. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Gold, though it is slightly reworded.
