Let's Go Catch The Dumpling Thief!! (Japanese: ダンゴドロボーをつかまえる!! Catch the Dumpling Thief!!) is the first chapter of the Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire manga.

Plot

Red, Clefairy, Pikachu and Tyrogue are traveling through a forest, tired and hungry, when Clefairy sees some delicious-looking food in a bowl by a shrine. He goes over to take it when it is revealed that it is not a dumpling, but the giant head of a monk. A group of monks surround Clefairy, accusing him of being a thief. Red, Pikachu and Tyrogue laugh at Clefairy for getting into trouble from trying to take the food, then explain to the monks that they are just passers-by and that Clefairy has never taken food from that shrine before.

The monks offer Red and company some food, and take them back to their home. They decide to set a trap to catch the real dumpling thief. They set up a cage near the shrine, leave out a bowl of dumplings, and then hide in the bushes waiting for the thief to arrive.

Soon, the thief arrives. It turns out to be a Zigzagoon, which snatches the dumplings and runs away before Clefairy can catch him. Clefairy pursues him into the monks' home, trying to hit Zigzagoon with a hammer, but ends up destroying a taiko instead. The monks are furious, as they need the taiko for an upcoming festival. In the end, Clefairy sits inside the taiko during the festival and the monks hit his stomach in place of the ruined side of the drum.
