Judgment (Japanese: さばきのつぶて Judgment Strike) is a damage-dealing Grass-type move introduced in Generation IV. It is the signature move of Arceus, and like Arceus, varies in type depending on the plate held by the user.

Effect

Judgment inflicts damage and has no secondary effect. The type of Judgment depends on the type of plate held by the user, being Normal-type if there is no held plate.

Trivia

  • Its name is derived from judgment, a concept within the Christian belief that says that God casts judgment upon wicked people on earth.
  • Provided Arceus is wearing the Dread Plate, Judgment is the highest powered Dark-type move in the game, as otherwise no damage-dealing Dark-type move has a power greater than 80. In addition, when equipped with the Dread Plate, it is one of only two Special damage-dealing Dark-type moves, the other being Dark Pulse.
