Jolteon (Japanese: サンダース Thunders) is an Electric-type Pokémon.
It evolves from Eevee via Thunderstone.
Biology
Physiology
Jolteon is the result of exposing an Eevee to the radiation of a Thunderstone. Jolteon is a dog-like Pokémon with a very short tail, and yellow fur that has the sharpness of needles (Glaceon shares this same trait, but it's not as obvious). Jolteon also has a white, spiky collar.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Jolteon can use the same attacks that Eevee could use, with the addition of the ability to use electrical attacks, as well as Double Kick and Pin Missile. As a fully evolved Pokémon, Jolteon can learn Hyper Beam and Giga Impact.
Behavior
Jolteon can easily have changes of mood. Every time that occurs, it charges power. If startled or angered, it can shoot out bristles that are sharp enough to pierce opponents.
Habitat
Jolteon usually are found near power plants. Due to the need of a Thunderstone to evolve from Eevee, not many are found.

In the anime
Jolteon first appeared in The Battling Eevee Brothers, under the ownership of Sparky.
Ash battled against a Jolteon in the Pokémon League Entrance Exam in The Ultimate Test.
In Get Along, Little Pokémon, Ethan used a Jolteon as a "sheep dog" of sorts. Whenever any of Ethan's Magnemite tried to escape, Jolteon would use Thunder Wave to lure them back.
Jolteon was also seen under the ownership of one of the Kimono Sisters in Trouble's Brewing and Espeon Not Included.
Jolteon is one of the Electric-type Pokémon that was seen in the lake with crystal in As Clear As Crystal.
Jolteon made a small cameo in the beginning of Giratina and the Sky Warrior together with an Eevee and the other six Eeveelutions.

Trivia
- Jolteon is the lightest, tied with Glaceon for the shortest, and has the highest Speed base stat of the Eeveelutions.
- Jolteon is the only Eevee evolution without a tail. Oddly, it can still learn Tail Whip and Iron Tail, due to Eevee having a tail. However, the spikes at the end of its back may be considered a tail.
- Jolteon shares the same species name with Electrike. They are both known as Lightning Pokémon.
- Jolteon is the third fastest non-legendary Pokémon after Ninjask and Electrode, tied with Crobat and Aerodactyl.
Origin
It has traits of porcupines, coyotes, foxes and cats.
Name origin
Jolteon's name is a corruption of jolt. Its Japanese name is a corruption of thunder, which happens to be Zapdos' Japanese name. Eon was Eevee's prototype name, which Jolteon evolves from.
