Insomnia (ability)

Insomnia (Japanese: ふみん Insomnia) is an Ability introduced in Generation III. Eleven Pokémon can have this Ability. It is one of two abilities that prevent sleeping (the other is Vital Spirit).

Effect

In battle

Insomnia prevents Sleep by either the opponent or themselves. If a Pokémon with Insomnia uses Rest, it will automatically fail.

Outside of battle

Insomnia has no effect outside of battle.
