Trophy information

Igglybuff, which evolve into Jigglypuff, are so incredibly elastic that they always seem to be bouncing. They have stubby legs, so for these Pokémon, bounding from place to place is much faster than walking. Unlike its equally adorable relatives, Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff, Igglybuff has red eyes.

Trivia

  • Igglybuff is one of the few Pokémon to change its Shiny form between generations. In Generation II, the alternate color had a green swirl and green eyes. In Generation III, Igglybuff's color became a little darker and there was red added to the still green eyes. In Generation IV, there was no more green.

Origin

Name origin

Igglybuff's name rhymes with Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff. Its Japanese name is a variation on Purin, the Japanese word for pudding, or the addition of an extra pu to Jigglypuff's Japanese name – a combination of 風船 fūsen, balloon, and 膨れる fukureru, to expand or inflate.

In other languages

  • German: Fluffeluff
  • French: Toudoudou - This French corruption means All soft soft.
