- Japanese: じてんしゃ Bicycle
- Purpose: Use to move faster than walking.
- Location: Cerulean City
Bike Voucher
- Japanese: ひきかえけん Voucher
- Purpose: Exchange for Bicycle.
- Location: Vermilion City
Card Key
Coin Case
- Japanese: コインケース Coin Case
- Purpose: Holds up to 9999 coins for use at the Rocket Game Corner.
- Location: Celadon City
Dome Fossil
- Japanese: こうらのカセキ Carapace Fossil
- Purpose: Take to the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island to obtain a revived Kabuto.
- Location: Mt. Moon
Gold Teeth
- Japanese: きんのいれば Gold Dentures
- Purpose: Safari Zone Warden's false teeth. Return them to him for HM04 (Strength).
- Location: Safari Zone
Good Rod
- Japanese: いいつりざお Good Fishing Rod
- Purpose: Allows the player to fish in bodies of water. Better than the Old Rod.
- Location: Fuchsia City
Helix Fossil
- Japanese: かいのカセキ Shellfish Fossil
- Purpose: Take to the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island to obtain a revived Omanyte.
- Location: Mt. Moon
Itemfinder
- Japanese: ダウジングマシン Dowsing Machine
- Purpose: Locates items hidden on the ground.
- Location: Route 11
Lift Key
- Japanese: エレベータのカギ Elevator Key
- Purpose: Allows operation of the elevator in the Rocket Hideout.
- Location: Rocket Hideout
Oak's Parcel
- Japanese: おとどけもの Parcel
- Purpose: Deliver to Professor Oak to receive a Pokédex.
- Location: Viridian City
Old Amber
- Japanese: ひみつのコハク Secret Amber
- Purpose: Take to the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island to obtain a revived Aerodactyl.
- Location: Pewter Museum of Science
Old Rod
- Japanese: ボロのつりざお Worn-out Fishing Rod
- Purpose: Allows the player to fish in bodies of water.
- Location: Vermilion City
Poké Flute
- Japanese: ポケモンのふえ Pokémon Flute
- Purpose: Awakens sleeping Pokémon.
- Location: Lavender Town
Secret Key
- Japanese: ひみつのカギ Secret Key
- Purpose: Unlocks the door of Cinnabar Gym
- Location: Pokémon Mansion
- Trivia: There is an item with exactly the same name in Pokémon Platinum.
Silph Scope
- Japanese: シルフスコープ Silph Scope
- Purpose: Allows Ghost-type Pokémon to be seen.
- Location: Rocket Hideout
S.S. Ticket
- Japanese: ふねのチケット Ship Ticket
- Purpose: Allows admission to the S.S. Anne.
- Location: Sea Cottage
Super Rod
- Japanese: すごいつりざお Amazing Fishing Rod
- Purpose: Allows the player to fish in bodies of water. The best Rod of all.
- Location: Route 12
Town Map
- Japanese: タウンマップ Town Map
- Purpose: Displays a map of Kanto.
- Location: Pallet Town, given to the player by Daisy Oak
