Furnace Desert (Japanese: しゃくねつさばく Scorching Desert) is a Friend Area in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. It can be bought for 8,500 Poké from Wigglytuff in Pokémon Square. It is the only area in the Desert area, and has a capacity of seven Pokémon. Upon buying it, the player gains access to the Desert Region dungeon.

Landscape
Geography
It is a desert area, with a pool of quicksand in the center and sand "waterfalls" on each side. It is bordered by wind sculpted rocks.
In-game data
The sun bears down ruthlessly on the burning-hot sand. Desert-dwelling Pokémon thrive in this area.
