Flash (Japanese: フラッシュ Flash) is a mostly accurate non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect
In battle
Flash decreases the opponent's accuracy by 1 level.
Flash will do nothing if the opponent's accuracy level is at -6, and will fail if the opponent has a Substitute or is under the effect of Mist.
Outside of battle
Outisde of battle, Flash will illuminate dark caves. The effect will last until the player exits the cave. When the player re-enters the cave, it will be dark again.
