Flame Wheel (Japanese: かえんぐるま Flame Wheel) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation II.

Contents

Effect

Flame Wheel will, if the user is frozen, heal its condition, and then inflict damage on the target. It is one of only two moves to do so, the other being Sacred Fire. Flame Wheel also has a 10% chance of burning the target.

In the anime

Pokémon

Arcanine. Its back blazes, and fire envelops its entire body.

Typhlosion. Its back blazes, and fire envelops its entire body.

Quilava. Quilava starts running at its opponent at a high speed. The flames on its head and tail then start to blaze and Quilava starts to roll. Quilava is then engulfed in flames.

Chimchar. It shoots flames from its mouth as it somersaults towards the foe or Chimchar blazes while running and then rolls at its opponent.

Monferno. Flames blaze from its tail to engulf it in fire.
