Fire Blast (Japanese: だいもんじ Daimonji) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation I. Its Japanese name, Daimonji, refers to Gozan no Okuribi.

Effect
Generation I
Fire Blast inflicts damage and has a 29.7% chance of burning the target. Fire Blast cannot burn the target if it has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.
Generation II and on
The effects of Fire Blast are the same as Generation I; however, there is a 10% chance of burning the target instead.
