Filter (ability)

Filter (Japanese: フィルター Filter) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV. Two Pokémon have this Ability, both in the same evolutionary line.

Effect

In battle

Filter reduces super effective damage by 1/4. A move that would deal 2× damage will instead deal 1.5× damage, and a move that would deal 4× will instead deal 3×.

Outside of battle

Filter has no effect outside of battle.
